"So to recap...Izzy has magic powers, Ava is a Phoenix, Malty and Baron are Vampires, this castle has been here all this time and I never noticed, Hiro is Guardian, Chidori is a mystical Chosen One, and a sleeping alien goddess has her sights set on Earth." Takako listed yet again while she flopped on her bed. "Do I have all that right? Did I miss anything? This is so crazy awesome I can barely keep it all straight!" "No, I believe that's about everything." Toki replied while getting comfortable herself. "I don't blame you though. I'm still adjusting to all of it myself." "Speaking as the normal one in the family, from personal experience, it puts an entirely different outlook on the mangas we've read. Now that we are living most of them." Hana Kurosawa explained while she does a series of Kata moves on the center of the bedroom. It's what she'd consider a mixture of Tai Chi and Jeet Kune Do. A form of combat suitable for those with agility and the less aggressive fighter. "While we may not have Power Armor, super powers, or Fist of The North Star level martial arts I'd still do whatever I could to aid my friends and family" "What qualities do you possess?" Takako asked Hana finished her Kata, she twirls before the two girls and bowed. "Getting in an out of places undetected, along with gathering intel" "Woah-ho! So you're a ninja? That's awesome!" Takako exclaimed while clapping her feet. Toki decided to play along with this. "She is actually. At school she acts as one of Kanna's informants. Seeing as how she can find a way into anywhere in school, it's her job to keep tabs on certain students and some professors. Even if the job is merely planting a listening device." "Wow...hey, wait, is that legal?" "We have cameras all over the school, Takako, this isn't that far off." Hana reminded her. "Besides, it's all in the name of keeping peace in the school. It's thanks to my efforts that we were able to catch a douchebag music teacher in the act and have him removed from the school after all." " Mister Atushi, right?" Takako asked. "I remember seeing that one on the news. So you're the one who exposed him, Hanna?"

"Welll I cant take full credit. The Gross One(Han) helped a little by being a student there." Hana paused as her mind reflected back on the incident. She remember having to have Ken assist in the case; by having her and Han provide him evidence that Ken will transfer to the police. She remembered him having to convince Hiro to not get directly involve until enough evidence is gathered.
Toki went quiet, she remember that too. She notices the bruises on Han's face that one time she passed him. Whenever she'd ask if he's ok he'd just smile and say, 'It's all taken care of'
"Huh. He didn't once cry or get upset. He'd just smile at Mr.Dipshit and say 'My apologies Senpai. I'll try better next time'
Toki caught on, "He was baiting him"
"He got inside the teacher's head to the point that he ordered The Gross One to remain after class. And THAT was when the trap was sprung" Hana pointed out as she took a seat with the girls.
Note: And to keep in mind. When Chidori gets pissed she gets piiiiised. It takes an awful lot to piss off Hiro and when that happens she just becomes calm. The kind of eerie calm that makes you know something is going to go down.

That's the main difference between them. Chidori is a sledgehammer. Hiro is a swiss army knife of scalpels. To put it another way, while Chidori is smart, she's more likely to face you head on and you're likely to get a beating. The Kurosawa's meanwhile can and will utterly destroy your reputation and social life. IC! "Wow. That is utterly genius. Although...I'm guessing that Chidori wasn't let in on this plan?" "Nah. We just made up some stories for her until it was over. As cathartic as it might've been, letting her smash his face in would've ruined the whole plan to expose him and screwed her over. So it was important that we handle the situation with discretion. I find it best to win before your opponent realizes you're onto them." Takako nodded. "Yeah that makes sense. It's not that she's dumb at all but...yeah a plan like that would require subtlety and manipulations." "It really was a stroke of genius, Hana, you and your family should be proud of your victory." Toki complimented. "Oh we are. We took big bro out for an awesome dinner at Trattoria* to celebrate his bravery after the game was won." She smiled. "It perked him right back up." *JOJO REFERENCE!* "Oh yeah that place is on my list of restaurants we've been wanting to visit." Takako noted. "So after the exposure he was arrested, right?" "Correct. He has a long prison sentence ahead of him." Toki replied.

"Oh yeah, I was ticked. I didn't show it but I really wanted to put him in the hospital" Hiro lays on the bed while she plays with Momo by tossing him in the air and catching him as she tells her tale of what happened with the teacher. "Had it not been for my Dragon Kai training, plus Ken and my family being there, I would have.
(Oh man, back in the day, I could have soooo much fun with this kind of intel.) Momo thought to himself as Hiro caught him and pulled him into another hug. "I know I get most of the press but there are times I feel my siblings are braver than I am"
"I remember that! Takako and I had to physically restrain Hawk the moment she found out what asshat did to Han" Amaya noted while doing a handstand on the bedroom floor
Hiro looked regretful regarding that, she didn't want to keep everyone in the dark: she even went out of her way to apologize to Chidori for that, despite the fact that she fully understood.
"Hey, it's all good. To be perfectly honest I was starting to suspect something. I mean no way Han would let that bully push him around like that unless he was playing a long con" Amaya said. "Once I've explained it all to Hawk she totally got it."

"Once I've explained it all to Hawk she totally got it." "I will never understand what went through that man's head that he felt like he could take his anger out on the students he was supposed to be educating." Ichika sighed while combing her hair. "Talk about a waste of potential. If he wanted to do that he could've just become a boxer or something." "Oh no that can be explained too." Amaya chimed in again. "Do tell." "He was a total ◻︎◆︎⬧︎⬧︎⍓︎." She responded bluntly. "The guy was a bully plain and simple. He talked a big game but he didn't have the balls to play with the big dogs so he just picked on little kids and never stopped to think on how it would bite him in the butt." "Language please!" Hiro giggled at Amaya's brutal honesty. "Yeaaah that sounds about right. For all of his talk of toughness and 'prepping his students for the real world', he only picked on kids smaller than him he could intimidate into silence. The moment he was confronted by Kanna's Student Council and the Teachers, he damn near wet himself." Amaya pushed off of her hand and landed on her feet and performed some stretches. "Honestly, I'm pretty sure at least half of his students could've taken him if they'd stepped up. Han definitely could have. But entrapping him was the better option and more fun. Well, I mean, not for the gross one, but it did work out in the end." "Like I always, you stick to the plan, it works out just fine." Hiro grinned. "An excellent philosophy to have, Hiro." Ichika complimented. She returned to her hair. "By the way...this is a minor thing, and, honestly I'm sure nobody else noticed or cared, but I remember seeing some pulverized rocks outside shortly after. Any idea what that was about?" "Oh that?" Hiro asked. "I'm pretty sure that was Chidori letting off some steam after the whole affair was over." Hiro shrugged while cuddling Momo. "No big deal. We punch heavy stuff all the time in training at Dragon Kai to toughen our hands so it's not a surprise she was able to do that." "Wow. Small wonder you guys are so unstoppable in tournaments. Would you mind if I sat in on a lesson? You know, assuming I can get the okay from my Nana." "Of course you can! We're always open for demonstrations." Hiro assured her. She slowly sat up and swung her legs over the side of the bed. "That reminds me though. Now, Harime, if you don't mind me asking, uh, I've noticed it's always you and your Nana at the Shrine. Don't your parents work there?" "Oh that? Don't worry about it. Mommy's an adventurer archaeologist so she travels the world a lot. She says it's kind of boring but she gets to see the world so she keeps at it. Every now and then she comes back to town with some new artifacts for the Shrine and we spend time together before she leaves again." Ichika explained.

We even had a rockstar teaching at one point." "A rockstar? Seriously?" "It was Thunder Centurion. He was temporary. Fun but temporary. These days he manages the Light Music Club whenever he isn't out touring." Toki summarized. "Oh that sounds insanely cool. What were his classes like?" "Picture your school becoming a rock concert on a daily basis." "Yeah, I know, right? On the bright side, I'd never seen Chidori and Hawk that hyped for school before or since his tenure, so there's some give and take there." "Did you ever join in?" "Heh, well, only as a class assignment." Hana smirked. "Why so humble, Class Rep?" "Hana..." She whipped out her phone and played the video. "We both know how hard you rocked out!" "Hana wait!" "Woooow. You can really rock out, huh?" Takako asked. Toki sighed. "Yes, I can indeed....rock out. I don't know what came over me. I just really wanted to impress the substitute and then everyone started egging me on and the next thing I knew I was acting out."

"Like we've discussed, there's no shame in cutting loose once in awhile. Plus Senpai even helped Sora rediscover their love for music" Hana said, while patting Toki on the back. If Hana had a list of her favorite teachers then he'd definitely be somewhere within the top five. He did convinced Han to continue with the class, which helped Han discover something about himself. It even inspired Han to convince Sora to come back from that; after some encouragement and some therapeutic counseling Sora did. It was a gradual climb but the Sub Senpai helped Sora regain their confidence and rediscover their love for music again. To the point that They and Han did a duet together. Lets just say that duet became the talk of the school for a few months Interestingly enough Hana didn't tease Han over it. After everything he went through, he deserved a free pass. Note: Sora! Imagine a non-binary version of Rei.

I knew we made the right choice moving here! This town is so COOL! I mean, yeah, it's had its...dark moments...and monster attacks now...but come ON! Superheroes! A Phoenix! Magic! Vampires! Rock Stars! YOU GUYS! I hit the freaking jackpot with this city!" She continued laughing. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's just...you guys are the coolest people I've ever met! I love it here!" She got up from her bed and hugged the two girls. "Am I lucky or what?"

Hana was caught off guard by this manner of reaction but she recovered and hugged her back. Meanwhile... Kenshin BattosaiKenshin got out of his car after he had parked it on the side of the road. As he got out he looked up at the mountain that led to Ichika's family shrine. It's hard to describe why but ever since the monster attack Kenshin has been receiving what he describes as flashes from the past. Since then he has been recording what he has seen to see if there is some kind of puzzle that needed solving. Then he kept on getting a feeling from the shrine, like its calling him. One way or another he's going to get to the bottom of this. He walked towards the mountain till he reaches the stairs that led to where the shrine is located. Gonegai Mountain
"Come on Red, don't tell me you're time working for the stuffy Heroes Guild had gotten you soft" Carina teased while running backwards as she and The Traveler, whom we'll call Red for the duration of the story, raced up over ten thousand feet of stairs to reach the Jurai Dojo. Carina had parked her bike at the bottom of the mountain and assured Red that nobody would try to steal it. Otherwise they'd be in for quite a shock.
"You've never beaten me since you were a kid Chisana and you won't now." Red flexed then decided to make this race interesting, they have another 10,000 ft before they reach the dojo so it'll be interesting to see how much Chisana's stamina has improved. Red decided to speed up and before the young woman knew it he shot right past her.
She looked up in amazement, "Guess that training had paid off! I wasn't expecting that. But I wasn't expecting not to expect it so it doesn't count " She grinned, "You got yourself a race, Big Bro"
With a dash she took off after him.
Kenshin blinked and rubs his eyes. "Oh yeah. Pretty intense when you look up. Hawk, Hiro, and Chidori loved to race each other to the top" Rin mentioned, having just getting out of the car and observed Gonegai mountain with her father. "Really? Who won?" Kenshin asked, while blinking a few times. "Classified information that I've sworn to not reveal." Rin teased before glancing over at Kenshin. "You OK?" "Yeah. I had a feeling I've ran a few myself" Rin raised an eyebrow. "You know, Dad. I could see you giving Ken a challenge in a footrace but I'm having a hard time picturing you running up and down this place without laughing" Kenshin couldn't help but smile at that. While it's still a long road it's nice that his daughter is showing some signs of her usual self again. Shows what therapy and a support network could do after an intense ordeal Note: Connecting the Ichika shrine to the dojo in Lost Wolves up in here! This will also provide some nice interactions between Kenshin, Rin, and Nana.

This will also provide some nice interactions between Kenshin, Rin, and Nana. Ichika Yasu was in the middle of meditating in her room when she felt a familiar presence at the bottom of the stairs and she slowly exhaled to lower herself down to the floor from three or so feet she'd been levitating above it and she awoke from her meditation to stand up again, stretched and walked out of the shrine to greet her visitors. Overall it had been an exciting time in their lives. Sure, the monster attack was unfortunate, very unfortunate, far too many innocents had been hurt by that thing, but it was nice to finally see the power of the artifact unleashed. After all the generations it had been in their family it was finally freed and its power was unleashed to bring light and justice to the world! To be honest, Yasu had always assumed it would be either Hiro or Toki who would free it from the stone. Little Miss Sukeban was not quite who she expected but fate was funny like that. Kami and The Gods must have quite the intricate plan in mind. She arrived at the top of the stairs and smiled down at Ken and Rin climbing them. "Long time no see, Kenny."

"It's so high up and far away that all of the noise just fades away. Besides which, magic has been building here for generations, so it's only natural it would just feel different from the normal city. Come on inside. I'll put on some tea."

Rin smiled then ran off ahead, Kenshin didn't need to stop her as he know she's heading towards the shrine. He could never pinpoint what is it about the place that gives his daughter such joy but he's glad that it did. Besides this gives her and Yasu some time to discuss things while the two casually walked towards the shrine.
"Her spirit is healing, if you must know. It'll take some time" Yasu commented
"Yeah. It was still good to actually see her smile, let alone crack a joke"
"What about you?" Yasu glanced at Ken
"I've been trained to handle situations like....it's different when it hits close to home you know?"

I have seen so many people come here and pray for the souls of their departed loved ones. Particularly in the wake of those maniacs rampages. I saw that exact same look on their faces. Dark days. Such dark days at the hands of those two. Almost as if they were harbingers of this coming chaos." Yasu explained to him while they walked to her home. "Now an even greater darkness is encroaching upon on our city and the world. I worry about the fallout of these coming battles but at the same time I can feel the light generated by those children. Trying times are upon us, Kenshin, but we will make it through them. Together. And Hawk will be there standing alongside you and them when it happens. She will awaken soon so don't you worry." "Eiji? Are you sure? How can you tell?" Kenshin asked her. "Ohhhh I have a sense for these things. Chalk it up to daily meditation over the years but I always have a vague sense of when things will just work out. When I really focus I can feel their light as it ebbs and wanes and trust me, Eiji's light has been shining light a disco ball. She's going to be just fine!"

As her friends continued to converse among themselves, Chidori laid down on the bed and closed her eyes and let out a slow breath. The world around her grew more quiet as she went into a specific corner of her Mind Palace. Chidori opened her eyes to find herself standing in front of a metal door marked KITCHEN. She opened it up and walked inside. The lights switched on and she walked through it slowly cautiously and purposefully while clenching and unclenching her hands.
"Look who's come crawling back? After everything you said to me back then you've come back again to ask for my help. How sad." A hauntingly sweet voice echoed around her. The lights began flickering on and off.
"Shut up."
"Now is that anyway to talk to an old friend? After what we've been through together? Don't tell me you've already forgotten. Come now, Chinatsu, don't be shy, tell me what you need and I'll be happy to help you."
"Shut up."
The lights all turned off at once and the darkness closed in on her.
Chidori stopped and squeezed her eyes shut.
"Chinatsu. My dear sweet little Chinatsu. Whatever could you be upset about? That I ended a few meaningless lives? Or is that I spilled some of your blood? Or could it be....that you really believed I was your friend?"
"SHUT UP AND GET THE ☞︎🕆︎👍︎😐︎ OUT OF MY WAY! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A MEMORY! YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE! YOU CAN'T HURT ME HERE! SO BLOW IT OUT YOUR ✌︎💧︎💧︎!"
The darkness was repelled and the kitchen was once again illuminated. Chinatsu calmed herself back down and returned to the task at hand. She walked up to the table to the cookbook, to one of HER cookbooks, and opened it up to the Eel Recipes Chapter. Chidori thumbed through it until she found what she was looking for: Stewed Asian Swamp Eel Roll Ups!
"Got it. This is certain to blow Morgaine's socks off." Chidori told herself. She memorized it again and closed the cookbook and returned to the door.
"Sweet little Chinatsu dear. Did you find what you were looking for?" The voice returned.
Chidori's hand hesitated before reaching the door and she sighed. "So we're still playing this game huh?"
"Come now. Can't you even turn around to look at your old friend anymore? You always were my favorite."
Chidori turned around to face the flickering shadowy figure in the vague shape of a woman. No, in the vague shape of a human being. Because it was doubtful that there was ever anything human about this woman.
"Fine. Fine. Alright. You want to do this? Fine. I'll say it to you all pretty like." Chidori stormed right up to the creature and stared it in the face. "You've had this coming anyway. You know what you really are, Suko Chifumi? You're a putrescence mass, a walking vomit. You are a spineless little worm deserving nothing but the profoundest contempt. You are a jerk, a cad, a weasel. Your life is a monument to stupidity. You are a stench, a revulsion, a big suck on a sour lemon. You are a bleating fool, a curdled staggering mutant dwarf smeared richly with the effluvia and offal accompanying your alleged birth into this world. An insensate, blinking calf, meaningful to nobody, abandoned by the puke-drooling, giggling beasts who sired you and then killed themselves in recognition of what they had done. I will never get over the embarrassment of belonging to the same species as you. You are a monster, an ogre, a malformity. I barf at the very thought of you. You have all the appeal of a paper cut. Lepers avoid you. Because off your face the rabbit population actually decreased. You are vile, worthless, less than nothing. You are a weed, a fungus, the dregs of this earth. And did I mention you smell? Now, Kindly do humanity the favor of finding a suitable hard object and pulverizing the appropriate portion of your anatomy to ensure future generations are not subjected to the progeny of the utter twaddle that has just oozed out of what I will charitably term your mouth! I have WAY bigger things to deal with then the memory of some psychopathic half-wit! I only came back for a recipe to cheer up a friend I just met. I have no time or patience to entertain your memory anymore. I've got friends to help and a world to save. Oh and you know something else? The cherry on top? When this war is over and the dust settles? We'll still be here. We'll go down in history as the saviors of the universe. You on the other hand? You'll be nothing. A forgotten footnote in history. In a hundred years this city will still be standing and nobody is going to remember you were ever part of it. You'll die alone and forgotten in whatever hellhole they threw you into and the world...will keep right on spinning. Fuck you Suko!" Chidori spat at her. "You're nothing, you're shit, and I've outgrown you." Chidori turned on her heel and walked out.
"I'll be around."
Chidori flipped her off and walked out and slammed the door behind her.
She turned to the waking world with a smile on her face and sat back up.
"Are you alright, Chosen One? I sensed some distress." Sigmis asked concerned.
"Ohhhh I'm good. I'm doing just fine. Say Malty? Do you have a pen and paper handy?"
"Huh? Oh, sure." She opened up a drawer and tossed them both her way. Chidori caught them and began jotting down the recipe. "One moment annnnd.....there! There we go!" She stood up and presented it to the girls.
"Stewed Asian Swamp Eel Roll Ups?"
"Oh yeah. I said I would make something special for Morgaine right? Well here it is. I might need some help getting all the ingredients together but I'm sure I can make it work."

It'll take some time" Yasu commented "Yeah. It was still good to actually see her smile, let alone crack a joke" "What about you?" Yasu glanced at Ken "I've been trained to handle situations like....it's different when it hits close to home you know?" "I understand more than you think. She's going to be just fine!" Didn't forget about this one! Updated!

To get a visual perspective, Morgaine on the left, Guinevere to the right. "Why?" Morgaine asked while she observed the dishes from tonight's festivities cleaning themselves. It can be looked at as a modern variant of the kitchen scene from The Sword In The Stone. Reference in 3, 2, 1... "You've seen Sword In The Stone too, right" Guinevere grinned while nudging her sister. "Why pass up on such an opportunity?' "There are times I wonder what goes on inside that head of yours, sister. Yet you don't make things uneventful" More detail to come later

You always were my favorite."Chidori turned around to face the flickering shadowy figure in the vague shape of a woman. "I'm not a Seer but something tells me she's going to love this!" Izzy smiled as she looks over at the list. "Even more once we create this together" Malty smiled, while Izzy is more familiar with Morgaine than Chidori, she admired this level of generosity that Chidori displayed over someone that she just interacted with.

The last time I saw it in action it completely blew a dinner parties' minds. So with all of us together I'm sure we can make it even better." She declared. "I may not know what it was that hurt her back in the day but I empathize. So I want to bring the smiles back to her. This will be our first step. An opening salvo of deliciousness! Who's with me?"
