The small town of Hollyhead was currently the battleground of a battle between two young heroes in training and an armored scaled humanoid lizard-like monster.
The young man lets out a battle cry as he raised his sword and runs towards the monster and leaps into the air and swings his sword down on the monster! This sword's guard resembles a butterfly, its wings inlaid with jade and a purple-colored material. Its grip is wrapped with white leather. The pommel is shaped like a globe. This man's courageous eyes are apple green and glow oddly. He has neck-length, straight, ivory hair which partially conceals his eyes. His physical form is rather angular. The monster raises its wrist to block the sword's impact and while the sword does manage to cut into the monsters' wrist enough to draw goopy green blood from the monster it stood its ground. The young man's eyes narrowed as he saw the number drop from the monster's H.P. Total.
The monster currently had 70 Hit Points Remaining and his hit had just knicked off another 5. 65 Hit Points Remaining! The Monster roared at him and reared back and punched him in the stomach with its free hand! The Young Man yelled out as he was sent flying backwards at least twenty feet across the town until he crashed to the ground. Fortunately his armor was able to protect him from most of the damage.
This set of armor has a hood with no face guard, but a thick scarf hides the face below the eyes. Attached to the top is a metal, mohawk-like ornament, ending in a sharp pointed edge. The shoulders are squared, very long and small in size. They're decorated with two large horns on each side, curved towards the sides. The upper arms are protected by squared, half covering rerebraces which sit well under the shoulderplates. The lower arms are covered by vambraces which have several rows of barb-like spikes on the outer sides. The breastplate is made from many diagonal layers of leather with squared edges and decorational pieces. It covers almost everything from the neck down, it narrows near the groin and leaves part the sides exposed. The upper legs are covered by shorts made from animal hide. The lower legs are protected by leather greaves which have layers of rounded leather on the outer sides. Thin leather pants are worn beneath this all.
The young man sat up and looked at his wrist. Out of his 120 H.P. Total he now had 100 remaining after the monster's last hit. He stood up again and braced himself for another round. "Hey! Are you ready yet?" He asked his companion.
"Almost!" His companion replied! His companion was dressed in an extravagant medium-length dress and a pair of high lace-up embroidered shoes with heels, over which you are wearing a medium-length high-collared cape. Her accessories include a crossbelt, a top hat, and a bat collar necklace. The whole ensemble is coordinated in black and magenta. This brave magical girl has deep-set green eyes. Her short, straight, thick turquoise hair is worn in an artistic style. She has a leggy build. She has powerful magic that is invoked by sheer willpower and magical chanting. A magical symbol is shining underneath her feet while she holds her arms out towards the monster.
"Alright!" He got back up again and charged back into the fight and resumed clashing with the monster while the girl chanted her magical spell!
"By Jo'rmium! By Tasiavin! By The Elementals Suns Of Falle! I Invoke The Flames Of Onta-rareal! Release The Spear Of Great Heat!"
The young man's sword clashed with the monster but it blocked it again despite the sword taking another chunk out of its Hit Points and it turned and slashed at him again but he dodged it this time and it kicked at him but he countered with his sword to parry it. The sword clanged off of its leg but managed to do a bit of damage. He slid backwards from the impact of its kick and then he rushed the monster again yelling out loud again, ducking into a slide and sliding underneath its clawed arm and slashing its mid-section! The monster roared as he took out a chunk out of its stomach! This did considerably more damage then his other attacks and knocked it down to 37 Hit Points left! The monster collapsed down to one knee with its tail still whipping around wildly.
The Young Man stopped himself and stood back up and raised his sword again. That was when his companion finally finished her spell and generated a fire spear between her hands and projected it towards the monster! The monster freaked out as the spear was shot towards it and quickly crossed the distance between the two of them before it could recover from its earlier wound! It could only roar as the spear flew over and crashed into it and exploded! The spear tore through the monster and caused it to erupt into flames as it was flung away through the air! The spear faded away while the monster eventually crashed back down on the ground and roared in pain before it vanished in a flash of light with the flames. In its place was a bag of gold.
Seraph Strife and Jasmine Rubysinner gained 20 EXP!
"Seriously?" Seraph asked. "That's all we got? How much longer until your next level?"
"About...230. You?"
"250." He replied and sheathed his sword. "Well at any rate, lets go grab the gold and a nap at the inn. Sound good?"
"Can we get some food too? Magic makes me hungry."
"Oh God yes please."

The Cuddly Griffith Inn!
From the outside it looks homely, intimate and warm. Softwood and marble pillars make up most of the building's outer structure. They can't see through the high windows but the clinking of beer glasses from within can be heard outside along with the cheering and celebrating of everyone inside. As they entered the tavern through the thick metal door they were welcomed by a sense of adulation and cheers from everyone inside and out and the clapping of hands. The bartender is working hard, but still manages to welcome them with a short wave. It's as engaging inside as it is on the outside. Squared, wooden beams support the upper floor and the torches attached to them. The walls are decorated with mounted animal heads, hides and small animals. It's clear the owner is an avid hunter and the smells coming from the kitchen indicate the animals don't go to waste. The tavern itself is packed. Passing traders seem to be the primary clientele here which makes sense. Several long tables are occupied by several smaller groups of people. The other, smaller tables are also occupied by people who clearly enjoy each other's company, though they seem to be strangers who have met here. Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company. The Heroes did hear rumors about this tavern, supposedly it's famous for something, though judging by the laughter, cheering and overall enjoyment of everybody, it's probably the people themselves who make this tavern famous. They found an open table and walked inside to the cheers of the townspeople and the flood of information that they were getting on everyone at once as Libra analyzed the Inn automatically. Libra originates from the Latin for "book". This word root is present in multiple Romance languages, and is also found in English "library" and it was the 'Gift' Ability that The Goddess who threw them into this world gave them. Essentially it constantly provided them with a flood of information on everyone around them. Their Level, Physical Stats, Magic Level, Status, Physical Structure, Weakness, Etc in a flood of information like they had augmented reality visors implanted in their heads or DBZ Scouters on both eyes. It was a lot to take in all at once and it was one of the problems with entering into crowded rooms or public places like this. The good news though is that it was a lifesaver in combat, being able to tell how much it took to kill a monster took a lot of the stress out of the fight and they could see how much strength, magic and health they had to take care of themselves. Furthermore it let them analyze Gear in Stores to see what would best fit them and test out which food would suit them best and up their stats. Libra definitely had its flaws, it made crowds an information overload, but the tradeoff was a lifesaver. Even when selecting the food they needed to be careful with it as they only had so much Gold at anytime and needed to keep track of how much they had to afford Lodging, Food, Drinks Gear and Equipment. Towns might not be 100% secure but it was a hell of a lot safer sleeping at an Inn than sleeping out in the wilderness with monsters everywhere. A fact they learned the hard way very early on when, after camping out for a night in a Tent, they had to run for their lives the moment they finished packing up their gear in the morning. For an entire day until they made it to a town. More Towns. Less Camping. As the two got settled into their seats then they were approached by a tall leggy and buxom blonde tavern maid carrying a pair of Menus for the pair. "Well hello there! Thank you so much for your help out there. You two really put on quite a show out there! My name is Marcie Jolene Mckee and I'll be your waitress today!" "Ah it was nothing. We're just happy we were in time to help before anybody got hurt." Seraph replied. "Slaying monsters like that is just another day in the life for a pair of aspiring adventurers like us." Jasmine added. "And such humble young heroes too! Are you with any Guilds?" "Not yet. Though we're aiming for The Chromatic Dragon Guild once we get strong enough." The Chromatic Dragons, besides just having a cool name, were, as far as they could tell, Medieval Commando Squads that would take any job to help anybody no matter how unusual or apparently trite and treated all of them with the same amount of professionalism. An organization that enables adventurers to be hired to go on quests. As powerful as the Kingdom's Knights were they couldn't be everywhere at once so they allowed The Guilds to operate, within certain restrictions, to be able to defend the populace and keep the peace while they were busy. Reportedly if a Guild Member became strong and skilled enough they could join The Knight's Order to train and become Knights without needing to be born of royal blood. Minimum Level To Join: LVL 15. Seraph's Level: 5. Jasmine's Level: 5. They had a lot of grinding to do before they could even get strong enough to join The Guild. That was their first major hurdle. Once they joined The Guild they could become much stronger and see more of the world while they helped and aided people along the way until they were strong enough to join The Knights. As far as Seraph and Jasmine were concerned that was their best chance to find and take down The Dark Lord and go home. They'd been working on this plan since they discovered The Guild. Phase One was to get good enough to join The Guild in the first place while helping people they met and getting experience. Phase Two was to become warriors of The Guild and make their name known throughout the land as they powered up until they could join The Knights. Phase Three was to become Knights of the Kingdom and join the army and, ideally, eventually join them in battle to eventually bring down The Dark Lord. Phases 4 through X would be developed as necessary. They just had to take it one step at a time. "So ambitious! Well I know for certain that a pair of young Heroes like you will definitely make it in The Guild! Here, take a look at your menus and let us know if you want anything." "Thank you Jolene." "You're a sweetheart." Jasmine added with a smile. "Awww you too little cherubs are just too kind!" She laughed and waved and walked away to give them a chance to look over the menus and began analyzing it for the best food for the power boosts while still being affordable.

"Alright have you settled?" Seraph asked. "Yeah. I say we go with Blade and Ship Whiskey, Venison, Braised Ham and Iceberg Salad and Beef Strips. It's a good selection of powerups and we'll get our greens in." Jasmine settled. "You know we're too young to drink, right?" "We're too young to be wielding weapons and fighting monsters but here we are." "Ha! That will never not be funny to met. Yeah heck with it lets party. Besides we're being responsible with it." Seraph reasoned. "Exactly! It's not like those drunken parties Chile threw back home." Jasmine pointed out audibly groaning at the memory. "I swear Project X looks like so much fun until it happens in your town." "Thank God we had school off for a couple of days afterword in the aftermath so we could catch up on our sleep after that insanity." "Damn shame so many of our classmates got arrested after that. But forget them. We're here now and we need to keep our strength up to save the world. Lets eat." They hung out for a bit until the waitress returned and they placed their orders! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ GOLD: 700! Blade and Ship Whiskey = 10 GP For Bottle! HP + 25 Restored. MP + 15 Restored. Rotisserie-cooked Venison = 55 GP For Each = 110 GP! HP + 110 Restored. STR + 5 DEf + 5 SPD + 5 MP + 1 HP + 1 VIT + 1 GRAND TOTAL: 270 GP! 700 - 270 = 430 GOLD LEFT! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Alright! I've got your order! We'll prepare that for you right away and be right back out with your drinks!" Marcie Jolene Mckee informed them with a cute smile. "Thank you. You're the best Marcie!" "And you're a sweetheart, good sir." She turned and walked away. "Alright so this is our plan right now? Eat to buff our stats and grind monsters for gold and experience and then go back to the food and drink?" "Pretty much. Eat, sleep, train and repeat. It's like getting a job. But more interesting because we're fighting actual legit monsters. It's an easy way to power up to be able to power up enough so that we'll be able to survive the harder battles of this world. Once we're strong enough to do so? We can start doing this world's equivalent of side quests and fight more monsters to earn more gold, to power up more and buy better equipment to perform better, train harder and fight longer, which circles back around to the start, and around and around we go until we join The Guild and proceed to Phase Two." Seraph explained to Jasmine. Calmly laying out their plan. "Alright. Cool. Ummmm...do we have any plans for Boss Encounters?" Seraph shrugged and held his hands up. "We're going into this blind. We'll just stock up on equipment and medicines and hope for the best."

We can start doing this world's equivalent of side quests and fight more monsters to earn more gold, to power up more and buy better equipment to perform better, train harder and fight longer, which circles back around to the start, and around and around we go until we join The Guild and proceed to Phase Two." We'll just stock up on equipment and medicines and hope for the best." "Seems a bit reckless." Jasmine pointed out. "I know but to be fair we don't exactly have a Player's Guide or the Internet to spoil things for us anymore. We're going Old School. We're walking in blind and thinking on our feet. Fortunately, we ended up in a fairly easy area so we can take our time and get situated and plan ahead." "Maaaan...never thought I'd miss the web but here we are in a world without science. Could've at least kept our phones." "Well yeah but they'd be kind of useless without a network or anyway to recharge them." "Right? Might as well send us over with a PSP for how useful it'd be." Jasmine joked. "I wouldn't have minded keeping some Manga though." "Or books in general. I actually want to finish Ascendant Eden now." "Is that any good?" Seraph asked. "It's...it's one of those high-concept complex sci-fi worlds. It's a whole bunch of sci-fi story world ideas fused into one and the book covers the history and exploration of it all. It's as detailed as Lord Of The Rings with considerable detail about space engineering, planetary geology, quantum physics and stuff like that. It's got some interesting material but it is a slog to get through." "Sounds complicated. How'd you end up reading that?" "Mr. Cronholm assigned it to me as a book report." Seraph held in his laughter. "Ohhhh man! Yeah that certainly sounds like something he'd do!" "Did you have his class yet?" "Not yet but I've heard the horror stories. The man is ruthless even if you don't do anything to get on his bad side." "Well laugh it up while you can. You'll have to get back to homework all the same when we get back." "Hell, if it means getting back to my family and everyone else I'll take it." "Our Movies. Our Books. The Internet." "Our old world." "Yeah..." Jasmine sighed. "I miss our world." "Me too." Seraph admitted with a tone of sadness and longing in his voice matching her own. He reached out and held her hand. "But hey! Don't worry alright? We'll get back home one day. We just have to take it one day at a time until we save the world, alright?" "Yeah, we'll do it. We'll save the world, eventually, and take our time grinding until we're ready to do it." Jasmine agreed. "Just like The Goddess said." "Right. We'll do it. We just have to be careful, take our time, plan as much as we can, and we'll do it. One day we'll save the world and go home." "Kick butt, save the world and go home. We've got a long road ahead of us but we can do it Seraph." "You know it Jasmine." Seraph raised his fist. "Team Isekai!" "Team Isekai." They fist-bumped and laughed to each other. Not even caring about the strange looks people we're giving them before they went back to their own business.

They fist-bumped and laughed to each other. Not even caring about the strange looks people we're giving them before they went back to their own business. "So we've got our goal in mind but we should at least come up with a general strategy for dealing with potential boss fights." "Well since we've got nothing to go on, I guess the best thing we can do is just general preparation. Stock up on potions, antidotes and other such stuff along with the best armor and weapons we can buy. In the meantime we'll just level grind to get strong af and prepare for any upcoming battles. Grind grind grind grind grind. Grind grind grind grind grind grind grind. Alright, level up!" Jasmine explained. "Best we can do really. Hopefully it'll go better than the initial monster encounter when we first got here." Jasmine held in her laughter. "Ohhhh maaaan why did you have to remind me of that? I swear we literally spent all day long running from that thing!" "Literally. I don't know why that plant...tree...zombie...whatever the hell was so mad at us but it chased us all over the forest all day long until we got cornered. We got phenomenally that Gaufridus found us when we did because we were too damn tired to run at that point." BACK THEN! Grass Gazelle Forest! "She couldn't have dropped us off in a town or a city or something?" An exasperated Seraph asked. "Really? It had to be in the middle of a forest in bumfucknowhere?" "We don't even know where we are or where the way out is! She might as well have dropped us off in Ikea!" Jasmine moaned. "Mmmm...naaaah. We'd just get made into Meatballs then." Seraph reminded her. "And getting eaten by whatever the hell's in here is better?" "Better than being made into meatballs. Who the hell knows what we'd go through during that process." "Ugh, continuously discussing meatballs will just make us hungry so I'll drop it. We really should start marking things though so we know we're not going in circles." "What makes you say that?" "Because I'm pretty sure we've passed that same boulder at least twice." Seraph followed her line of vision and started intently at the large moss and plants covered boulder. "Huh. You know? I think you're right. Alright one sec." He walked over to a stick and picked it up, dug it into the dirt, pulled some out, walked over to the boulder and made a crude arrow design on the boulder. "Alright. So at least we've got a marker. So where to now?" "Who the hell knows? We're totally lost but, ummmm....lets go that way?" "Sure." They continued walking through the forest and at the very least seemed to be making some progress since they weren't walking around in a circle anymore but they still had no real idea of where they were going. OOC: POST IN PROGRESS!
