Hurt/Comfort story so more effort this time.

Suko sat up and spat out a glob of blood onto the floor. "Those were some good hits kid, even with my enhancements, you've done a fine job of improving yourself." She sighed and relaxed while the nanites in her body worked to heal her injury. She'd be back to normal in no time. "You aren't wrong though. I was, and am, a monster. I deserved all of that, Hawk, if you want to let the rest of your anger out on me? Go right ahead. I deserve everything."

"You deserve a hell of a lot more you ungrateful worthless murderous psychopathic backstabbing-" That was all Hawk managed to get out before Hiro pulled her out of the room and the door slid shut behind them. Suko Chifumi just sat there in place while letting her vent. She didn't need super hearing to tell that Hawk was calling every dirty name in the book.

"Keep praying kid. Maybe you'll get lucky and I'll be killed in battle." She muttered.

"TWAT!" Hawk finished shouting at the door.

"Feel better?" Hiro asked.

Hawk was still seething with rage, her hands shaking with anger but she was able to dial it down and she began performing breathing exercises to calm herself back down. Slowly. Slowly. She calmed herself back down. "I-I...yeah...yeah...I-I'm going to be okay." She looked down at her bruised and bleeding hands. "Fuck." She sighed and used a quick flash of magic to clean and heal them. "The R&D guys really knew what they were doing when they put her back together. A waste of time if you ask me."

"Yeah, trust me, Suko was a monster. I can't ever condone or forgive the things she did in the past. Nor should you. Nor should any of us. But we're stuck with her right now, fighting on the same side, against a common enemy."

"It's more than that! God, Hiro, how can you be so calm about this? After...THAT?!" Hawk exlcaimed. "I know I shouldn't take this out on you but...fucking hell, she had everything! She a loving devoted family that loved her! She had a fairy tale life that most people could only dream of and she treated them and everyone like shit! She lied to her friends, she lied to her parents, she lied to us, all while murdering all those people behind their backs! She had the world handed to her by the most loving people in the world and she just betrays their love and trust and spits on it! What kind of-Goooood dammit! She's a monster, Hiro. She's a damn monster!" She broke down sobbing. Her mind was unable to properly wrap itself around Suko's madness. Just when she thought she knew the depths of Suko's madness she unveiled a whole new level of depravity. She had ruined the lives of countless people and even the lives of the loving and kind parents who loved her and gave her everything! What kind of monster was she?

Hiro stepped forward and embraced her gently. "Shhhh. It's okay It's alright. I know, Suko was a monster. I don't know why or how she ended up like that. Maybe she was just born wrong....as sad as it is, there are people are like that in the world. We just have to be better than them. To show people who they can be and to inspire them to be the best they can be. Come on now. Let it all out."

Hawk sobbed into her shoulder and just let out all of her frustrations.


"Hey at least you're self-aware."

Suko turned around to see Chidori leaning against the wall and smiled. "Here to finish the job?"

"No. Not this time. It's not conductive to team spirit anyway." She retrieved a tray of drinks and walked over to the table. "Besides. The Suko I hated died on the island. You're not her. Not entirely." She set the tray down on the table. "Come on. Sit up. It's been a long time since we talked."

"There's more to this than what she is telling" Aria commented inside Hiro's mind.

Hiro just silently nods in agreement. She won't bring it up, its all up to Hawk in that regard. The best Hiro could do in this situation is just continue to be there for emotional support.

Hawk continued to vent on her shoulder and let all of her feelings out. All of her rage over monster of a father rising back to the surface at the ungrateful devil woman that was Suko Chifumi's dismissive attitude towards the absolute godsend parents she was gifted with. The sheer unfairness of it all. How could such a maniac rise from such an idyllic dreamlike heavenly upbringing? The sheer impossibility of it clashed with the horrors of what her own father had done to her rose up in a whirlwind of emotion pouring out through her eyes. She continued sobbing until she finally got it out and backed away using a quick magical cleaning to wash her face and Hiro's shoulder. "I-I...I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

"Hey, it's okay. People need to cry sometimes. You're human. It happens." Hiro assured her. "Never feel ashamed to feel emotion or to love others, Hawk. You should always hold onto your humanity and who you are as a person."

"Thank you." Hawk took a few deep breaths and calmed down. "Alright, um, can we go somewhere else and talk? I don't trust that she isn't listening in and it's, you know, kinda cramped in here."
