The Ancient Klatets's Champion Gems!
Ancient sacred gems of magical energy of the Ancient Xissois Society which are capable of producing enormous amounts of energy, becoming stronger with the passage of time. They were used by the Xissoisian's in Ancient Times in times of great need to empower Chosen Champions to defend their world from great evils. After an unknown catacysm the Gems were sealed away for centuries before being discovered by the Stridriedian people of Zebreter. Numerous tests and experiments on the power of the gems later they discovered they could use the gems as a source of renewable energy for their society and man other uses. It was thanks to them that their planet flourished for many years
More specifically The Daraveola-ain Empire launched an attack on the planet as another target on their tour of universal conquest. Both to devastate it, take over the planet and, most importantly, steal the gems for themselves. Turning the peaceful futuristically advanced planet and the space around it into a warzone.
During all of this chaos one ship managed to escape carrying a number of the gems with them intending to get them far away from the Empire. However they were spotted and tracked and attacked, resulting in a run and gun fight through the stars. Despite their best efforts however the ship was being destroyed, resulting in one of the passengers being ushered into an escape pod while the other decoy pods were also launched. The wormhole technology of the ship allowed the pod to escape but one of them managed to track it to Earth and shot it down. The pod withstood the crash but its occupant was wounded in the crash....and the gems were badly damaged.
The alien occupant, Ximiemt, crawled out of the Ocean and went into hiding until she was discovered by Keiji.
After the initial surprise and shock died down he struck up a conversation with her. There was an initial language barrier but Ximiemt was able to pick up on Earth English quickly enough and could tell from his body language that he didn't want to hurt her. She guided him into the small lab she'd set up using Stridriedian technology and gave him the lowdown on what's happening. While she did so she guided Keiji into helping her dress her wounds using alien medicines.
They didn't have long though before she labs computers picked up on the Terrorfiers invading Earth. Out of options and desperate she grabbed a gem, the red one and shined it on him. To her delight the gem began glowing brightly accepting him as its user. Knowing how much they lucked out she loaded the gem into a Champion Driver Belt and handed it to him, gave him the lowdown and asked him for his help. Keiji didn't even hesitate to put the belt around his waist and call out the transformation phrase as dictated by the Champion Driver's AI Systems: "CHAMPION RED BIO-BOOST!"
In a flash of light he felt a surge of power rush through his body and Keiji's clothes and body were transformed into Champion Red!
In essence, his suit, and thus the others coming up, are physical manifestations of an interdimensional energy source in the form of a particlized self-assembling nano-fiber suits formed with intercellular shape memory space alloys.
Now he serves as Earth's protector against the invading forces of The Daraveola-ain Empire while Ximiemt works as Mission Control and on repairing and re-energizing the other Gems so he can find some backup.
