EUPHORIA CITY ROYALTY ARENA WOMEN'S LOCKER ROOM!
"Should I really be here?" Jasmine asked her friends. "I know I'm athletic and all but I haven't been training as long as the rest of you." She tied her gi. "I'm a little nervous."
"Nonsense! You're a total natural! I've seen all the work you've been putting in Jazz, you're going to be fine out there." Leimomi assured her friend.
"Now don't you go getting cold feet on us, Jazzy." Alexandra told her. "Remember. Lemony is Supergirl. But you're Wonder Woman. You've got this tournament on Lock!"
Jasmine blushed. "Thanks guys. I promise I'll do my best."
Victoria Powers of the Shòuxìng School leaned back against her locker on the other side. "I don't get it. Where did that giant come from?"
"It's not like you to be nervous." Deidamia Clay admonished her. "It's not a good look for you. Don't worry about that big lug. You heard her. She's a nervous rookie. Capitalize on that. Pounce on her weakness and break her down and then close in for the win. Besides." She placed a hand on the locker and leaned in close and whispered. "
Besides, the Sensei's got this taken care of. We'll be fighting them last. We'll have plenty of time to study their strengths and weaknesses."
Victoria's smile returned.
Helena Newman of the Zuì Quán Chuízi School, basically Drunken Boxing mixed with Wrestling and Sumo, peeked out from around the corner and then back again. "Huh. I think they've got a pre-fight make out going on." She joked with her Dojomate. "Good for them though, you know? Everyone's so serious. It's nice to see we're not the only one's relaxed."
"Oh really? Well. Good for them." Whitney Snow mused. "Speaking personally, I'm not too worried about the small fries. I just wanna fight the giantess."
"You'll have to get in line, homegirl, I've got dibs on that one." Melantha Orinda Cantrell joked with her while putting on her uniform.
Ametsuchi Harukichi aggressively shadowboxed as she readied herself for the coming tournament.
"You as hyped as I am, Slugger?" Schastlivtseva Jereni Georgievna asked her teammate.
"More. The Sapphire's are taking home the gold this time. Nothing's going to stand in our way. You put me out in that ring and watch me work."
Alyssa Tyson of Cobra-Crane Self Defense finished tightening her Gi Uniform and did some stretches. "Everyone is so super serious today. Like, jeeze. Relax. It's a tournament."
Meanwhile In The Men's Locker Room!
Reynaldo Chang and Keiji Ayakawa stared each other down with their respective team's standing around them.
Kane, Tucker, Jiro, Raziel, Kaiden, Bryon, Julius and Trevor stared down Keiji, Samuel, Sharkie, Griffin, Hayate and Trey.
"Hey Kei-dog. Glad we caught you before the tournament. Listen man, I just wanted to extend my sympathy, and those of my crew, of Ant-ony's little accident the other day. Really man, that sucks. But, you know, I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to catch back up with him after you lose." Reynaldo smiled.
"Don't you dare mention his name. You know damn well what you cowards did." Keiji scolded him. "Any other time, I'd tear you apart for that, but breaking your face on live television in front of thousands of people sounds like it'll be way more fun."
"Don't think you're walking out of here." Sharkie told them. "You losers are leaving here on stretchers."
"Big words little guppy. I'm going to enjoy making a necklace out of your teeth." Trevor retorted.
"Try it and I'll break your neck." Griffin fired back while stepping forward only for Samuel to hold him back.
"Let the weaklings blow their hot air. We'll settle this in the ring like we agreed."
"The only weaklings here are you chumps and everyone is going to see it today." Tucker smirked. "We're going to slaughter you and everyone else out there right in front of the entire crowd. No one will ever question us again. Once you're out of the way we're going to run this town."
No matter how the wind howls, the mountain will not bow to it." Samuel replied. "No matter how right the wind is, no matter how it screams its case or argues its rights, the mountain is the truth, and it cannot be swayed by false logic. The truth is the truth, and it cannot be moved."
"Translation: Go Fuck Yourselves." Hayate summarized.
"Save your breaths, chumps, they're the last ones you'll ever breathe in our town." Raziel shot at them.
Keiji barely acknowledged him. "Is that what you told Anthony when your mongrel friends jumped him?"
Raziel tried to reply but nothing came out and he looked away. Reynaldo noticed this but would scold him later. "Come on guys, lets leave the weaklings to write their wills. We'll kill them in the ring." He turned to walk away but added on his way out. "You're going to scream worse than he did!"
Keiji clenched his fists but focused himself and turned to get changed, paused, and looked back at Raziel who was looking back on them. He was about to say something but Sharkie stepped up first. "The fuck are you looking at,
sellout?"
Raziel turned around and rejoined his teammates.
Reynaldo placed a hand on his shoulder. "Heeeeey Raz."
"H-hey Reynaldo."
"You ready to end this shit?"
"Yeah. Damn right. I'm all in."
"Good. Just remember where you're loyalties lie." He advised him and gripped his shoulder. "You are loyal right? Of course?"
"Of course. Yeah. Sure."
"Good man." He released him and patted him on the shoulder and turned to get changed alongside the others.
"What's their drama?" Oakley of the Rumble Dojo asked.
"Who knows? The Animals are pricks." Barclay replied with a shrug. "Just focus on what we gotta do man."
"Right!"
"Huh. Well that's disappointing." Kip of the Gold Medal Dojo sighed while getting dressed.
"How so?" Roydon questioned.
"Well if they'd fought here they would've all been disqualified which would've made our lives easier."
"Oh come on we can take them." Haldey replied.
"I know we can it just would've our lives easier is all I'm saying."
"Everyone here is insane. Is that like a rule?" Brookie of the Cobra-Crane school asked.
"Hey! We're normal!" Grasvenor of the Sumo school replied.
"Debatably."
"You're lucky there are rules, shrimp." Grasvenor laughed.
"For real though man. Best of luck."
"Back at you."
Zachery of the Kung-Fu School just shook his head at the insanity of everyone around him and focused on warming himself up.
