 What does it say when the very place that I've grown up in changed before my very eyes? It is the question that I've often ask myself since I've returned here. I thought I could leave the city behind me when I ventured onto my quest to become a Paladin. Come to discover that it's the city that has evolved well beyond what I've expected. No matter how good or bad the changes are, I'll see it through. The best part? I won't be alone.

"I tell you Lee, today's the day I get to catch that Dragon Fish!" Kenshin, a young man of 14yrs of age say proudly as Leon and he climb down the rocky terrain that leads to the ruins of the Sagara Castle.
"Oh yeah, what makes you so sure" Leon, around the same age as Kenshin, trails behind him. The kids have finished with their chores and practice sessions so they're taking the time to do a little fishing near the castle ruins while its still daylight.
"I saw it in a dream. And my dream tells me that I'm going to catch it"
"Oh yeah. What if I catch it?" Leon challenged
"Then you'd be the first one to proudly say, screw destiny"
"Tempting but why not make it interesting? The winner takes Aryn out on a date" Leon smirked back at his fellow student and bro of the arts.
"You guys are aware that I'm right here. And besides, I'm confident I'll catch one before the both of you. And when that happens, you do the bulk of my chores for a week." Aryn Sun, around 13yrs of age and quite a little spitfire declared to the two boys below her as she trekked down the rocks.
Before Kenshin or even Leon could reply they hear sounds of fireworks going off. Kenshin's eyes scanned, and his senses depict that the sounds are coming from the castle grounds. He couldn't make it out but he couldn't shake the bad feeling he's got in the pit of his stomach. |
