The island was bathed in a beautiful golden light unlike anything you'd see in the cities. Even Metropolis wasn't quite this bright. There was a purity to Sunton Island. It was isolated from humanity and aside from the jungle and its teeming animal life it was devoid of life. Which made it a perfect location for a clash between the two super powers standing on the beach with the wind whipping through their capes. The older with the red and blue costume stroked his moustache as he looked down at his younger opponent. The torso of his costume was primarily blue with some red linings and a red O on the chest. His pants were simply red leading down into his blue boots. His gloves were bright red. His dark hair was well combed with graying sides. In contrast, his younger opponent had a thin but well-built physique and is of average height and weight. His hero costume consisted of a yellow one-piece jumpsuit with a short zipper at the collar and a black belt with a round golden buckle at its center. He wears red gloves that go 3/4 up his forearms and red boots that nearly reach his knees. His costume is finished off with a white cape, which is fastened to his shoulders with big, round buttons. The shining sun reflected well off of his bald head. The mustached man rolled his shoulders. "Alright, Saitama, consider this your initiation trial. I'm going to come at you, gently, and try to defend yourself. Don't worry I won't go all out. This is just to test your abilities. I just want to know what you have to offer to the team. Sound fair?" "Sooo it's a try out. Okey-dokey then." Saitama replied while doing a few stretches of his own. "We can start whenever you're ready, Omni-Man." "Alright then. I'll start light and then ramp it up as we go." Omni-Man informed him. He took a short breath and blew it out. (Okay. Time to see if this guy is for real or not. I already had to fly him here, so I know he can't fly. Or at least not as well we can. In that case, all that's left is to test his strength and speed. If he can hang with me, then I'll know what I'm dealing with in the future and I can plan accordingly. If I kill him...well, then I can just chalk it up to an accident and dispose of the body. One less future problem for Viltrum.) Omni-Man took a thunderous step forward that broke a crater in the sand and then he flashed forward across the distance between them and threw a quick jab at the bald hero. There was a shockwave that blew away the sand around them and even pushed the waves back. When the dust settled though Omni-Man was met with a shocking surprise. Saitama had just casually stopped his punch cold with his hand bent at an angle. It was the equivalent of running into a brick wall for a human. This was not a sensation he'd felt on Earth in a long time. "Well okay then. This should be interesting." "Don't hold back on my account, dude." He responded cheerfully and shoved him backwards sending Omni-Man hurtling backwards head over heels to the other side of the beach before he stopped himself. He pushed his cape back and smiled. "Looks like I'm going to get more of a workout here than I thought." Omni-Man grinned and flew towards him again only for the little bald man to sidestep him. Omniman flew past him and then turned back around. (Okay what?)

If it's alright with you, I'm going to start dialing it up a few notches." "Okey-dokey." Nolan smiled and flew away and then suddenly rocketed himself right at Saitama! He simply held up his forearm and blocked it while the shockwave of Nolan's punch tore apart the trees for a few miles behind Saitama and leveled the ground beneath his feet. He simply looked at Nolan for a few seconds before he leaped backwards and soared backward through the air while still casually watching Nolan fly after him. (Huh. I wonder if every big league initiation is like this.) Saitama pondered. Nolan quickly closed in on him and began speed punching him at superhuman speeds! Saitama simply held up his arms and moved them up and down to block his punches until Nolan switched it up and grabbed his suit and flung him aside before speeding after him and driving his fist into Saitama's face with a thunderous cracking boom that launched Saitama to the other side of the island! His feet touched down and he slid for a bit while his cape blew in the wind. He looked to the side as Nolan quickly closed in. Nolan crashed into him with a devastating right cross with enough force to destroy the ground underneath Saitama and then he quickly followed this up with a powerful uppercut that sent him skyward! Nolan flew up after him, flew behind him, flew around and then stopped in front of him to punch Saitama back down to the island! Saitama flew back down to the island like a meteor but he just righted himself and put his legs down beneath him as he landed creating a sizeable crater. (Maybe I should go ahead and ask? That wouldn't be rude would it? I don't think so. I mean.) Nolan crashed down into him, smashed him into the island and then drove him through a few miles of Earth before punching him back out of the ground and throwing him across the island. (It's almost like he means it. I guess this is what they mean by method acting.) Nolan flew up after him and resumed speed punching Saitama briefly before he grabbed Nolan's left arm. (Alright. I'm just going to ask him.) He turned around and flung Nolan out to sea. Nolan yelled out as he was tossed away from the island and flew for several miles out to the Ocean before he came back down and hit the water then skipped across it a couple of times before he righted himself and floated back up. "What...on...Earth?" (What IS this guy?!) He zipped back to the island where he found Saitama waiting for him at the shore. Nolan crossed his arms and looked down on Saitama while he considered his next move. Saitama raised his hand and then poked the fingers of his other hand into it. "Time out." "Uhm...what?" "Yeah, sorry, I was just curious. Is it like this for every new recruit? Into the Big League Teams I mean." He asked Omni-Man.

Oh, yeah, well, only for the ones we think have the most potential and that I'm sure can take it." He cleared his throat and floated down in front of Saitama. "And I have to say, you're definitely good enough to make it into the big leagues. I mean, I was holding back." (Not that much but he's still incredibly impressive.) "But you're very impressive. Tell me, Saitama, right? Right, what kind of training did you do to get this strong?" "Oh, my training? You really want to know? I should warn you, it was really hardcore. The hardest training method I could come up with." "Please, tell me." "Alright. Listen up, Omniman. It's important that you stick with this training method day in and day out. 24/7/365. It'll be hard, sure, but I'm sure a dedicated hero like yourself could pull it off." "I can take anything you can throw at me." "Alright then. Here you go: 100 Push Ups! 100 Sit Ups! 100 Squats and a 10 Kilometer Run! EVERY SINGLE DAY!" "I...what?" "Oh and be sure to eat three meals a day and remember never to use the air conditioner in the summer, or heat in the winter – so you can strengthen your mind. Above all though, you just have to keep doing it no matter how hard it gets. In the beginning, you’ll wish you were dead. You might start thinking what’s the harm of taking a day off. But for me, in order to be a strong hero, no matter how tough it was even if I was spitting blood, I never stopped. I kept doing squats even when my legs were so heavy they refused to move. Even when my arms started making weird clicking noises, I kept doing push ups. A year and a half, I started noticing difference, I was bald and I got stronger. In other words, you gotta train like hell to the point where your hair falls out. That’s the only way to become strong. Human beings are strong because we have the ability to change ourselves, right? Honestly, it should be the same even for aliens." Omni-Man could only stare at him in disbelief. (Is...is he...fucking with me now?) "I..see. Well then. Would you mind showing this extreme power of yours?" "Sure. Lets see." Saitama looked around the island until he found a giant mountain in the distance. "That'll do. Follow me, man." He ran off to the mountain and Omni-Man followed after him. The two of them speeding across the island in seconds. They zipped in front of the mountain which was in an empty deserted area of the island and looked up at it. "Alright. This looks good. How tall would you say it is?" "7,816 meters. Give or take." Nolan analyzed. "Wow, you calculated that out in your head that quickly? That's impressive." Saitama complimented. "Thank you. So what now?" "You might want to step back." Saitama informed him as he reared back his fist and then he stepped forward and struck the mountain. The result was a massive shockwave of force that obliterated the mountain area, the area behind it and caused a shockwave to spread outward beyond the island forming tidal waves!
