NOTE: This takes place prior to Chidori's magical girl story in the present but around the same time as the murder mystery story! IC! "56! 57! 58! 59! 60! 61! 62! 63! 64! 65! 66! 67! 68! 69! 70!" Chidori Chinatsu called out while pulling against the pulley restraints holding her hand back, which were connected to weights currently set at 160 lbs, to strike the hardened concrete marble statue in front of her. Training against resistance and weights to increase your arm strength, speed and striking power while toughening up your hands at the same time. The training would go on until you've reached the maximum number of punches you can throw which would increase every time. She threw a punch at the pillar, brought her hands back with the pulley, then threw a punch with her other hand while pulling up the weights at the same time, then repeating the action with her other hand and going back and forth! "71! 72! 73! 74! 75! 76! 77! 78! 79! 80!" "You ever wonder if she enjoys punishing herself like that?" Hawk asked Hiro while kicking weighted soccer balls with her bare feet. If someone has ever told you to “go and kick rocks,” it probably was not in a pleasant way. That exact activity, however, is step one to this Shaolin discipline. Anyone who has, accidentally or otherwise, lost the inertia battle to a heavy object knows the toe-shattering pain it can cause. Zu she gong belongs to the hard force of yang, and students will begin training this technique by kicking small rocks like soccer balls—in bare feet. The purpose of this mastery is to develop the strength and resilience of one’s foot, until kicking a pillow would feel the same as kicking a boulder. In combat, it is said in Shaolin texts that one will be able to kick an opponent as far as the stones one trains with. Such a hardened, developed kick to the lower portion of the body immediately shatters the opponent’s balance. A kick such as this to the head could easily be deadly. Just another day of hardcore training at Dragon Kai Dojo!

Just another day of hardcore training at Dragon Kai Dojo! "Welcome to Dragon Kai. You must be new. Hardcore training is a way of life here." Hiro joked while practicing the same kicks as Hawk. "Har-har. I'm just saying she's always going above and beyond in the hardcore exercises." "So she enjoys working up a sweat. She's just devoted to her training. As are we all." Hiro joked about it but the whole class enjoyed pushing themselves to extremes in their training. Sure, Chidori might work herself into a puddle of sweat, as they all did, but she always cleaned up after herself and the results spoke for themselves. Some of the best fighters in the city trained here and they planned to one day take it to the national and world stages. Furthermore, it was the perfect Hand-To-Hand and Physical Training and Conditioning for Hiro's own personal goal. A little something she was building in her garage. Her own secret project.

Hiro Kurosawa
She has really come along in her training, she wouldn't consider herself around the same level as the Senior Student but if you'd ask anyone within the Dragon Kai they'd say Hiro Kurosawa has the potential to be among the dojo's best.
Hiro looked around the dojo. She's amazed at the increase in new students. She knew that tournament win might get some new members but she never expected this kind of turnout. Each of them have the potential to be great but there is one student she could say has a future among the dojo. She completed her training and approached Chidori, "How are you enjoying your first day?"

Each of them have the potential to be great but there is one student she could say has a future among the dojo. She completed her training and approached Chidori, "How are you enjoying your first day?" "Oh I'm loving this place." Chidori laughed. "Best dojo I've ever since ChampionCross. And Kenshiro? Wow. I haven't had that much fun in a fight in a long time." Hiro noticed Kenshiro's chuckling and nodded. "So you were ChampionCross? What made you switch?" "Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. It's just like I felt something in my head telling me to seek alternative methods of training. I bounced from dojo to dojo trying to find what I was really looking for, not all of them worked out, like Diva's, but I think this place...yeah, this place is what I've been looking for. It feels right. I feel at home here." "We are a family unit after all. Eccentric as some of us might be." Hiro joked. "If you don't mind me asking though, what happened at Diva's In Defense?" Toki was always talking about how great it was for building confidence and self-defense after all. So what could have happened there? There was an awkward pause before she answered. "Just a difference of opinion. We parted amicably." Translation: She was expelled.
