Restaurant At The Edge of The Universe

Bruce breathed a sigh of relief relieved to see a friendly face. He turned his phone off and followed him. "Hey Reed. Thanks for showing up. This has been a weird day for me."

Samus smiled and sipped her milkshake. "It's good to be back."

Bruce felt a hand pat him on the shoulder, he looked behind him to see



Reed gave Deadpool a look that read, "Not a good time for your shenanigan's Wade"

Deadpool threw a peace sign at the two, "I come in peace fellow hero brethren *Heeey, look it's all going to be ok. In fact I have the perfect solution to your problem" he reaches into his pocket and pulls out 



"One pill only should kick that little issue right out the door"



Harley doubles over, she's nearly out of breath for laughing so much. "Good one Wade. Talk that sass"

Bruce scowled, he glanced at Reed. "Pardon me Mr.Richards but I'm going to have to take a rain check of that meeting, there's something I need to take care of" And we all know what that something is

As Bruce leaves Deadpool just silently tosses the bottle away, he walked over to the booth where Harley is sitting. Lifting up his mask halfway he sits next to her. Grabbing Bruce's drink he props his feet up on the table and puts an arm around Harley. "You're welcome" he says to Reed Richards

"Huh. Worked out a lot better than I calculated. Good job Mr. Wilson" He reached out and shook Wade's hand.

The door opened and the moment he sees Selina standing before him it was like nothing else around him in that restaurant mattered, it felt like the first time the two met when they were kids. With his heart racing and at a loss for words at what to say, ironic as he usually is the first one to say something. But when seeing Catwoman before him there was only one action he had in mind.

He reached out and embraced her, Selina was surprised by this action at first and a little hesitant. She has been burned one too many times but she recalls the countless times Bruce wanted to take that leap with her but she pushed him away for selfish reasons. As Susan pointed out the both of them were guilty of it yet she also pointed out not all relationships are perfect but if you work a conflict out together then nothing can break you apart.

Plus, even despite all this, she still loves him. She closed her eyes and embraces him in return.

"I already feel like it whenever I'm in your arms, Bruce. Yeah lets get out of here and have a night to ourselves."

"You said it, Selina, and then we can work on those wedding plans. We're going to do it right this time."

"That's right, Bruce. Nobody is stopping up this time." They kissed long and passionately in the middle of the restaurant and then they walked out of the restaurant to the cheers of everyone present.

Clark just smiled. (Have a good night, Bruce.) He wished him and stood up to get some drinks for Lois and himself.


(Okay. Okay. It's alright. Just walk up and say hi. He's just like any other guy. He totally isn't The Greatest Hero Ever. He's just like any other hero. Except like a million times more iconic. You can talk to him. It's okay. Just walk up to him. That's it. One shaking foot in front of the other. It'll be alright. Just walk up and talk to him. You can do it. It's okay. There you go.)

Clark turned around and noticed the nervous young lady staring up at him. He gave her his usual warm smile and she felt all of her fears just melt away as the tension left her body.

"Hello young lady. How can I help you?"

"Uhhh, well, sir, if it isn't too much trouble, can I have your autograph?"

Clark chuckled. "Sure thing. One second please." He walked over to Lois' table and set the drinks down on the coasters and then he stood back up and accepted the notebook and pen. "Alright. Who should I make this out too?"

"Clementine, sir. My name is Clementine Kane and...it is just the biggest honor ever to meet you!"

"Huh. Uh, thanks I guess." Clark replied. "See you around Homelander." He informed him and finished signing the notebook. "There we go."

"Oh man thank you so so much this so cool!" Clementine squeed.

"Let me guess: Aspiring Superhero?" Lois asked and patted for the young girl to join them.

"Yeah. I mean I'm still teaching myself the ropes but Superman was always one of my biggest inspirations. I mean, you're a Fictional Character in our world but I learned so much about being a proper hero from reading his comics and watching your shows. I studied the others of course but Superman was the big one."

"O-kay! Lets see now, this is the restaurant, so lets see here...I heard there was a back room, right?" A young girl in a schoolgirl outfit with pale dark green and light blue stitched together skin and bolts in her neck walked through the restaurant up to a directory and traced a finger down it. "Oh there it is. Cool."

"What's wrong? Scared to sit with the big kids?" Her doll asked her.

"It would be...way too awkward. This is just easier." She informed the doll and carried it with her into a backroom and knocked on it. A tall lean thin man with a wide grin on his face and a cowboy hat on his head answered it. "Well hello there!"

"Hi there. Drayton Sawyer, right? My name's Kira Hikaru. I had a reservation for the backroom to try your famous Headcheese Chili?" The Frankenzombie Girl asked.

"I could smell it from outside. That's freshly ground human chuck right? Mixed with peppers, guajillo, cumin seed, onions, garlic..." She trailed off.

"That's a hell of a sniffer you got there young lady. That's flesh, freshly ground flesh, we don't waste nothin' when making the chili after all, mixed in some beef tallow, ground flesh bones stock, water, salt, grit, dark brown sugar and vinegar. Salt as needed. Got a few more things mixed in of course but the key is in the meat, the fresher and healthier the better, you never skimp on it now."

"That sounds awesome. You should definitely trade recipes with my monster mom."

"Oh really now? She a Zombie too?"

"Demon Meat Butcher actually." Kira informed him and took her seat. "Thank you sir."

"Thank you young lady. Always happy to serve our customers. Now your chili bowl and drink will be right up."

"Thanks again." She set down her demon doll on the high-seat next to her and Lily got comfortable.

"Comin' right up, your highness!" Drayton informed her.

"Gotta say, Hikaru, I was a little uncertain about walking into a Hero Den but you really know how to pick 'em."

"Told ya. You just have to know where to go." She told Lily and then she noticed the Vampire and the Fae. "Sup Carmella?"

"I'm impressed. For a group of, well, you know, they really know how to cook. Heck I know what it's made from and even I think it smells good." Sammy joked.

"He wouldn't have won all those Chili Cook-Offs if they didn't know how to make it smell good and mask the scent of human flesh." Carmella replied. "Hi Kira! Hi Lily!"

"Greetings your highnesses." The Demon Doll greeted her and Sammy.


Drayton returned to the kitchen which was filled with pig squealing-like noises and the buzzing of a chainsaw which drowned out the cooking of the rest of the family. Bubba Sawyer, more commonly known as Leatherface, wearing his usual butcher outfit, looked up and smiled beneath his mask and turned off his blood drenched chainsaw to serve up the carved up human meats The Restaurant provided them to the rest of the family. "Huuurrrr...hurrr...heeeheee...hur hur." He informed Drayton.

Honestly the bus scene is what sold me on the movie. The entire rest of the movie could've been, and was, bad but I was there for that one scene and it did not disappoint.

All in all it was honestly middle of the road as far as Texas Chainsaw movies go. Not as good as the original or the 2003 Remake but probably around the level of The Beginning and honestly better than 3D or Young Leatherface IMO.
