"He was going to kill us Chidori. I had to.." She couldn't finish the last few words before breaking down into sobs even further. "Sssshhh. Sssshhhh. It's okay. It's okay." Chidori rubbed her back while she let her homegirl cry it out. She remembered being in this almost exact same situation before. While she didn't kill Suko, and Kami knew she wanted to, the aftermath of that fight had left her bedridden for days. It wasn't just her physical wounds either. That monster broke things in her that she still hadn't fixed. A gaping wound in her heart she couldn't heal. She could relate to how she was feeling right now. Hawk eventually pulled back still crying and Chidori got up to retrieve some tissues and hand them to her. She studied Hawk's face as she wiped her eyes and blew her nose. Guilt, Shame, Anger, Resentment and a multitude of other issues were written plain as day on her face and Chidori had no idea what the right words were to say here. So she would just have to try her best. "Sooo...ummmm...listen Hawk...the feelings you're feeling right now...I think...I think they're positive in a way. I mean, uh, how can I say this...you shouldn't feel good about...what I mean is...it's good and good you know? It's good that you have a sense of empathy for what you did...it shows that you're still human, that you're better than that ♍︎◆︎■︎⧫︎ ever could be. But, all the same, he still deserved it, right? You didn't do anything wrong, Hawk. That prick was a monster. He broke into your house to do harm to you and your sister. He would have gone on to hurt other people without any remorse. So, like, what you did...was right but it's okay to feel guilty over it." She sighed. "I'm probably not making any sense. Hiro could explain it better. What I'm trying to say is...you're not guilty. You were in the right and...I'm here for you. So will the others. Everyone will be here for you. We're going to help you through this." Despite the nightmare she was in, Hawk allowed a tiny smile to return to her lips. Chidori might be stumbling over her words but she still got the gist of what she was saying. "I get it...I still feel bad but there wasn't any other way. He kicked the ⬧︎♒︎♓︎⧫︎ out of me, Chidori and when he threatened Rin I just snapped. I saw red and it blinded me." She looked at her hands. "Before I knew what was happening I was punching through the floorboards and his head was...it was...it was just gone...and I-I did that to him!" She started crying and Chidori gently held her hands. "Hawk...Hawk it's okay. It's okay. You're okay. He can't hurt you anymore. You're still here and you're going to be okay. I'm here for you and I always will be." She held Hawk's hands until she calmed down and wiped her face again. "H-How did...how did you....how did you deal with it?" "I..." Chidori went silent for a minute before she held her head. "I got lost. I threw myself into the fights. I got lost in them. I didn't care who my opponent was or how many there were. I just needed the rush. To make myself forget her. I went to a dark place until one day I woke up and...and I didn't recognize the girl in the mirror anymore." She choked up and took a moment to console herself. "I realized how lost I was so...I left town for a bit. TO get away from it all. To reconcile with Sensei Toguchi. He helped me find my center again and cope with what She did to me. To everyone." "T-Toguchi? I don't think you ever mentioned him." "Heh, sorry about that. He was my first Sensei. Before my family moved here. He's tough but fair. Firm but kind. Strong and wise. He's been around the block a few times so he knew how to help me. Now, I'm not the best at this, but I can offer you the same advice he gave me. Talk to people. Talk to your friends. Talk to your loved ones. It's going to be a long hard road to recovery but by spending time with your friends and the people you love, you'll find your way back."

Maybe it's for a little peace of mind but he proceeded to move his fingers and closed his hand into a fist. Surprisingly no sign of stiffness. From what he remembered of the fight he would've been all kinds of fucked up. Outside of his pale complexion and not healthy looking appearance, three months bedridden would do that to ya, he looks normal. "Huh" "What is it?" Chidori asked "For a split second there I was expecting some kind of cool cybernetic hand. That can shoot a laser cannon incase anyone decides to fuck with me" Chidori smiled, pleased that there is still a little of the old Hawk she knew. "You're such a nerd" "Loud and proud sis. But seriously, it's not too late you know? The folks over at the Dojo still talk about you"

What the hell, I'll come back. Somebody has to take care of you guys." She looked up as the others started gathering outside of the room with Rin making a beeline for the room. "Besides. I've missed my Dojo Family. Oh! And also? I taught Rin a little bit so don't be shocked by the muscles. Just a last minute fyi. Your sister's here!" Chidori stood up and stepped aside as Rin dived onto the hospital bed!

Hawk nearly had the wind knocked out of him when. After getting his bearings he looked down to see his sister embracing him, with her face buried in his chest. He hugged her and did his best to console her, despite the fatigue of being bed ridden for three months. "Shh. It's ok sis. I'm here now, our family can be whole again" He rubbed her back and as she does so he could feel the developed muscles underneath her shirt. He also noticed a few more things, that her hair grew a little longer, and she's now a few inches taller. He'd say around Chidori's height at best. He also took note of a pair of breast pressed against his stomach. "For Kami's sake sis! What kind of training Chidori has put you through?!" Rin's sobs then turn into fits of laughter, she rised up and wiped a few tears from her face. Hawk gave her some tissues before Rin could respond. "Wouldn't you like to know" she beeped Hawk on the nose affectionately. Note: For the curious, Rin as she is now

I can feel my strength coming back already." Hawk assured her sister.

Hiro smiled at the sibling's interactions. It reminded her of a time when things weren't so chaotic. She recalled when Hawk first entered the dojo; Hawk back then was rather timid, looking like a soft breeze would knock her over. But from the minute she walked in Hiro knew there was potential in the young girl. So Hiro, being among the senior students, thought why not make the newcomer feel right at home? It took some time but Hawk did manage to come out of her shell. But she didn't fully come into her own till the day when Sensei encouraged her to flip the script.
Whatever happened to her in the past, whatever she's going through now, whomever was foolish enough to try and put her down, take all of those obstacles and use it as fuel to better herself. Eiji took that to heart. To the point of referring herself as Hawk and gradually becoming one of the dojo's best students.
She'd see the way Hawk would interact with Rin and remind her of how she interacts with her own siblings. Hiro excused herself then rubbed her eyes as she walked down the hallway.
"Just remember, what happened wasn't your fault" ARIA assured.
Hiro could only just nod. She has heard that. From her siblings, from Wakamura, from her fellow Dojo Nakama. Even Kenshiro. Yet no matter what, while she believe those words mentally, internally all she has done was wished that if she had only ended that fight with the Ghost Woman three months ago a little earlier. If she was even more aware of it's presence, if she had been more thorough on her investigation regarding Johnny. They're ok now but Hiro knows that nothing will be normal for them again.
"If I could trade places with Hawk, I would have" Hiro uttered

"If I could trade places with Hawk, I would have" Hiro uttered "You too huh?" Chidori asked Hiro gently. "I've been kicking myself over the same thing for the last three months." Her hands shook. "If only I'd been there I could've...we could've...he never would have stood a chance. I'm so damn stupid. I should've been watching their house. I should've considered that." "Chinatsu...listen...it's not your fault either. It's not mine...it was that Johnny freak. That's all. We never could've predicted he was a shapeshifter." Hiro walked over and hugged her gently. "It's not our fault." She repeated to assure Chinatsu and herself. "It's not...it's not..." Chidori reached up and hugged her surrogate sister as she buried her head in her shoulder and squeezed her eyes shut. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Holy...stinking....super crap! What is Ken made out of?" Chidori asked while rubbing her knuckles. "I've never met anyone this tough!"
"You've got some ovaries, Chi-Bird. Your first day here and you're already picking a fight with Ken? That's a level of crazy I can get behind."
"Annnd who might you be?" Chidori asked.
"The name's Hawk. I'm sort of a big deal around here." She joked and sat down next to Chidori and offered her a bottle of water.
"Oh...thanks." She accepted the bottle and took the top off and started sipping from it.
"You're welcome. So you're really Chidori Chinatsu huh? You are definitely everything I've heard about."
"Mentally unstable? Overly violent? Crass and rude?"
"A badass vigilante who fights like the devil." Hawk corrected her. "You're good. Really good. You'll fit right in here trust me. Everyone here is cool."
She lowered the water bottle. "Thanks but...if you know about my rep then aren't you afraid of me?"
"First of all, the Hawk isn't afraid of anything. Secondly, there's no reason to be. You're a good person, Chi-Bird. I can tell. You're vicious as hell in the ring but besides that? You're just a kid like the rest of us. Like I said, you're going to fit right in here." Hawk paused. "Oh, uh, hey is it cool if I call you Chi-Bird?"
"I...uh, sure. It's accurate isn't it? So, Chi-Bird. Cool."
"Chi-Bird it is then! Birds of a Feather!" She offered her hand.
"Birds of a Feather." They shook hands.
(Holy that's a good grip!) They both commented.
"So if you don't mind me asking, why did you do it? Why do you want to learn martial arts?"
"...I hate bullies. Lets just leave it at that right now."
"Oh my God me too! See? I told you you'd fit right in here!"
"Heh-heh. I think we're going to get along great."______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ (I'm so stupid!) Chidori scolded herself. (I only found Suko by luck! Why did I think I could track down Johnny? I should've been smarter! I should've been there! We could've taken him together without a problem!)

Hiro just rubbed Chidori’s back in an comforting manner, no matter how much she is kicking herself right now she realizes that there are others who feel the same way. “Believe me Chi-Bird I know how you must feel. But look at it like this, Hawk is alive in the victims spirits Can now rest in peace. Whatever Hawk in his family will go through we will be there to help pull them out of it. “

She stepped back and wiped her eyes and blew her nose with a tissue Hiro provided. "We uhhh...we just have to be there for him. We have to be strong for them, right?"

Kenshin Hamura waited a little bit, he wanted Rin to have some time to interact with her eldest sibling before he could enter. Part of him wanted to do a mental double check to make sure if he's not seeing things, that his kid is actually awake. To his credit, prior to this, he has seen his share of fucked up things as of late. The monster attack not withstanding. To him, this is the closest he and Rin get to have to a breather.
Feeling that its his cue to enter he opened the door and walked into the hospital room. The Venturi side of him examined the extent of Eiji's lack of injuries and scars but the closer he got towards him his fatherly instincts overtook everything else. And all he could think about was holding his kid and ensuring that nothing like this ever happen to either him or Rin again.
Hawk turned from her conversation with Rin to see Kenshin. "Pops.." Kenshin smiled as it was his turn to embrace her. He needed the solid proof that Hawk was back. She buried her face in his shoulder and proceeded to cry and Ken couldn’t help his tears either.

Now that is a beautiful scene. Chidori wiped her eyes with another cloth. "Dammit, I'm doing a lot of crying today." "Don't worry about it. It's a perfectly normal reaction." Hiro assured her. "Besides, you're not the only one." "Yeah...sorry about getting tears and snot on your shirt." "Ahhh it's alright. It'll wash off." "Cool." She rubbed her arms as she watched them together. For the longest time she said nothing. She simply watched them together with a smile on her face. As happy as she could be. "We really are birds of a feather, eh Hawk?" She asked quietly. "I..uh...I need to go wash my face." She started to walk away to give them some privacy before she suddenly stopped and looked back at Hiro. "Hey. Thanks for paying for Hawk's surgery." Hiro just looked back at her and rubbed the back of her head. "Uhhhh...this wasn't me this time." "Say what?"

"You think it could be President Bitch?" Hiro thought about that question for a moment. That moment only last about a second before she and Chidori could unanimously agree. "NAAAAH!" "To her credit she did offer her condolences to the family. In her...own way" Hiro commented.
