Izzy kept her eyes closed, clearing her mind of any distractions. Any doubts or other personal ills that could detour her training. Channeling all the energy from the cemetary she's in. From the grass, the dirt beneath her, the trees, everything The Earth Goddess had to offer. "Wow!" Gabriel looked up, he can see the clouds in the sky parting and the rocks beneath their feet starting to rise. "It would usually take a witch awhile to form this kind of connection but this girl has managed to achieve it in almost a month. I knew she's talented but this is quite impressive" "Can I pick em or what?" The Ferret smiled smugly. The moment soon vanished once Izzy's phone started to buzz. Izzy opened her eyes and in an instant she fell on her butt. "OOf" she say, not noticing that everything around her went to normal. The Ferret scoffed at Gabriel. "Take a wild guess on whose on the other end"

She looked at the phone and tilted her head. "Oh? This is new." She showed them the picture of the cocoon. "Do either of you know what this is?" |

The Ferret leaped off the tombstone and glided towards it's charge, it land on the ground and looked up at the photo. "Huh. Haven't recognized a Cocoon of this magnitude. Not on this planet anyway.""Oh man I hope it's an alien. We don't get that many around here, outside of the two Spacers awhile back" Izzy reminisced. "I guess that's what make Davey Jones so special" Izzy smiled down at the picture. (Already with the pet names, next thing you know they'll be holding hands and making out under the stars) The Ferret shares a knowing glance at Gabriel who only laughed in response. "What's so funny?" Izzy looked up at him. "Oh nothing, I've just thought of a rather amusing joke from the movie Back To School" Gabe fibbed Izzy blinked, "What now?" Gabriel's eyes widened, "Seriously?! Ok one day I'm so going to educate you on the comedy gold that movie was" Izzy laughed while Gabe helped her up to her feet. "Mega points for the Yoda impersonation at the end" "Back to the picture, please  " The Ferret shook it's head, feeling like he's in an episode of Buffy. |

Gabriel's attention returned to the picture and a strange sense of familiarity crept on him. He recognized this kind of cocoon before. His mind drifted back to when him and his older brother Sebastian ventured into The Forgotten Realm. The further he drifted back to that pace the quicker his heart started to beat. He examines the cocoon closer, the webbing in particular is white with a silk structure. Id doesn't match the kind of webbing he's thinking about. "News to me. If you guys are going to exam this then I'd suggest you stay sharp."
"No doubt. Least till I figure out exactly where this came from, even then. "Izzy pocketed the phone, she glanced over at The Ferret. "Do me a favor? Watch over Sal's friends while I'm gone ok?"
"Those Mutts?" The Ferret tilts its head. "Fine. But you'll owe me"
Izzy rubbed her four head. "I'll keep that in mind fur ball." she affectionately bopped the Ferret on the nose. She turned her heel and looked up at the sky. "Catch ya later Gabe"
The young witch focused every bit of her compassion and loyalty to her friends as fuel for the change she's about to proceed. It wasn’t like in the movies where her body physically transformed in some excruciating body horror. Instead, it was like she changed places with a Crow in some other serene place. One minute, she was Izzy the Human, and the next minute she was Izzy the Crow. The moment she changed she took flight.
Gabe looked up and waved at his student and friend as she flies to the church to meet her friends.

Either way, fantastic interactions between the characters. I love Izzy's comedy with her Familiar Ferret and Gabriel's a fantastic character. I am extremely curious as to what exactly happened to him in the past in the Forgotten Realm. That's an EU story that is just waiting to be told! Love what you're building here man. Not to mention the funny little potshot at a certain sequel series.  And David is definitely rising to the title! Ohhhhh yes. Shepard is an awesomely weird and amazing town that's famous for that but there are certain things the townspeople want to keep secret. And they're both a pair of awesome mentors in their own right! Izzy-Bean FTW! Very cool! Looking forward to that being expanded! Awesome shout-out bro! |

The Takashi Residence(Home of Nathan Takashi)
(Everyone is so fucking noisy!) Nathan rubbed the temples of his head. He couldn't wait to leave the company of his band of siblings once the news of one of his older brother's passing came to pass. In moments like this the family would stick with one stage of grief: Denial. Or indifference as he'd call it. Especially when it concerns Scott. But he sees right through the BS, courtesy of his empathy abilities. There is faux silence within the Takashi Household but they might as well be screaming till they're blue in the face as far as Nathan is concerned.
Nathan sighed and rest his hands on the railing as he watches the town from below. He liked the fact that the house is placed on the mountain that overlook Shepard, his sister Katherine shares the same sentiment. She considered it the equivalent of a Kingdom watching over its subjects. Nathan had a much humble reason, it keeps him at peace.
Scott wasn't the kind of person whose the most liked member of the family. Because whenever the family would have a get together he'd spend most of the festivities by himself or indulge in his hedonistic lifestyle with a 'lady of the evening' . Every Takashi has their demons that needed to be satisfied and Scott was hedonism. He did have his decent moments. He was the only one to spend some time with him. It didn't start out as so, least not till they both discovered their respective interest in the fine arts. He even complemented one of Nathan's paintings once. Nathan recalled that all Scott wanted from him was to paint him a portrait. He humored his older brother and did so. The painting turned out much better than he expected.

"IDK about you but there are times I just want to leap from this railing." Katherine Takashi approached him then stood next to him to join in on the view. She's around the same height as her little bro(about a good 5'4) despite that she has a good ten year age difference. She has short red hair, freckles, and a well-muscled but lithe frame that still caught a lot of attention around town. Especially Beets, who wouldn't shut up about her, to Nathan's annoyance. Kat was wearing a brown sheriff’s uniform with blue jeans. "Try it and I'll hire the best witch I could find to bring you back from the dead, then chew you out for leaving me with our batshit sisters." Nathan said in a humorous manner that caused Katherine to laugh a little. "That is why you're my favorite sibling. But don't let that get to your head" "Too late, already holding you to that comment." Nathan rubbed his temples again. He can feel Katherine's hand rubbing his back in a comforting manner. "Remember the exercises we've discussed about?" He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. He focused on the breathing exercises. He exhaled then start to focus on a different target, blocking out the hostile energy raging from the house and focused on the town. Its hard to describe but it has a certain calm energy that Nathan appreciates. Note: I renamed Grayson to Takashi and removed the connection with Christian by having it be a different bro instead as having it be Christian just opens up a series of questions I really don't feel like answering |

The Takashi Siblings are considered the most unique of The Shepard Council: A body of some of the most influencial representatives who'd gather together every now and then to discuss what is beneficial for the town. They're the one family who isn't either supernatural or otherworldly in origin. They're Chimeras. Sure, some ignorant humans would consider Chimeras abominations but that's the beauty of Shepard. Everyone's unique in their own way, and that is what they love about the town.
Nathan could feel his phone buzz in his pocket. He pulled it out and sees a text from David. Nathan tilts his head at the important discovery that him and Beets found.
"I think you should join your friends. Give you a break from this house anyways. Just text me if you have any updates regarding that pic" Katherine said
"Will do" Nathan puts the phone in his pocket. "Can you summon Joanna for me? And tell her to bring my Satchel"
Katherine's eyes started to change, they've gone from an bright emerald color to solid white. After a minute her eyes returned to normal. "Done and done"

Yeah, I figure Shepard of all places is definitely a town where Superhumans can live in peace considering how accepting everyone is of the supernatural and strange there. IC! Joanna meanwhile was downstairs in an art room dedicating a bit of her free time to her preferred hobby of painting. She always found herself getting into a zone when she painted. It felt like weights lifted off of her as the world faded away and she could focus entirely on what was right in front of her. In fact she could get so caught up in painting that she could lose track of time in there unless she was interrupted. In fact when her hand moved over the canvas it was like her mind was directing her hand without her. Her hand moved instinctively to the right spot, building a new picture. This continued until she received Katherine's psionic message and she snapped out of her trance. "Huh? Wha? Where? Oh! Oh Miss Takashi! Yes, I hear you loud and clear! I'll be right there with the satchel!" She put down her paintbrush and palette and quickly cleaned up before rushing upstairs with the satchel in hand. Leaving behind a half-finished painting of a towering moth like creature. She quickly ascended and parkoured up the stairs and dashed out to the balcony, went into a slide and stopped right in front of Nathan with the satchel. "Your satchel sir!" |

"Hmmm...Sir. I recently found myself painting something rather odd. Normally I don't think it would be relevant but the timing feels too coincidental for it to be simple chance." "Oh? And what exactly did you paint?" "Well, it is only half-finished but I believe it to be a giant moth." This got their attention. "A giant moth?" "Yes sir." "I see. Alright. We'll go take a look at the painting while you grab everything for our trip, alright?" "Yes sir! I'll go pack right away!" She declared and ran back inside. Nathan rubbed his chin. "This day just keeps getting more interesting." |
