Chidori Chinatsu: Seriously? This Is Our Magical Girl?!

Back outside, the fight had been continuing on while they were having their meeting. Guardian skidded backwards down the street before she stopped herself. Guardian straightened back up and flew up into the air at a left angle to dodge the spheres thrown her way and she returned fire with her light blasts. The monster hopped backwards a few times to avoid her light blasts and then the dark empty pits that were its eyes lit up a shining green light that were soon emitted from the eyes in the form of crackling green beams of energy that swiftly crossed the distance between the monster and Guardian. Guardian, keeping her space awareness about her, chose to block it with her photon beams rather than risk anybody getting hurt should the blasts strike a building. After all, a Professional Hero should keep collateral damage to a miniumum and outright avoid it if possible. Besides, just because the spheres dissipated if they struck non-organics didn't mean that the eye beams would. This was proven correct when, instead of fizzling out, their sustained energy attacks collided in battle like a super-powered arm wrestle.

This had little justification in Science, Hiro realized. Lasers, for example, will simply pass through each other unimpeded, although their point of intersection may experience any constructive or destructive interference between the two beams depending on the characteristics (wavelength and phase) of the lasers involved. Of course, energy beams in fantasy and sci-fi are up for grabs in terms of how they react to one another, but even then there's the improbability of the beams being fired nearly simultaneously at perfect enough angles to result in a head-on collision with similar enough initial force to force equilibrium without planning such things beforehand.

In Hiro's case, she had her targeting system to assist her, but the monster was just accurate on its own. The exact nature of the creatures' energy was hard to explain but she could figure it out at a later time when the monster wasn't trying to kill everyone. She focused on her beams and they continued to clash in mid-air between them, building and building and building until they suddenly erupted in an explosion that sent her flying head over heels up into the air while the monster was thrown across the street! The monster crashed into some stairs and crushed them on impact while Hiro continued flying up into empty air until she was able to right herself.

(Yeeesh. That's new. ARIA! Analyze the area. We need to make sure nobody was hurt!) She flew back down to street level through the smoke of the blast and she scoped out the area. While some cars had been overturned and windows were broken and there were a scattered few small flames on the ground, nobody was hurt due to everyone hiding inside. She breathed a sigh of relief and then she caught her breath and returned her attention to the monster and approached him.

"It's over. Release your prisoners and surrender!"

The monster sat up breathing hard now while holding its burned chest and stared her down.

"Surreender? surreender? Never. I zerve owr Goddezz fuhidfule. I wuhz zeent to diz world to uhccomplizh me mizziuh uhnd I wil fight to de deuhd to do zo."

Hiro studied it. "You...speak Japanese?"

"Yowr luhenguuhge iz not too complicuhted. It iz zimple eenowgh to chruhnzluhte uhnd underztuhnd." The monster calmed down and stood up again. "Face me. Our fight iz to de deuhd, zoldier."

"Deuhd...death? Are you trying to say the fight is to the death? Sorry, but that's not my style." She raised her fists. "But trust me. You'll be surprised what you can live through."

The monster laughed now. "A zoldier in de defeenze of her world who refuzez to kil oppuheentz to defeend it. A foolizh ideuh. It wil be eowr downfuhl.

"Then what do you call the last few minutes? In case you haven't noticed, I literally have you up against the wall and you've barely scratched me. Can those wings of yours even fly?"

"Wiengz? Wiengz? Theze uhre not wiengz, zoldier." The 'wings' on its back unfolded and stretched out and raised up. Revealing them to not be wings. "Not wiengz. Thee uhre zwordz." They were mantis claws pulsing with the monsters green energy. The claws reared back and thrust forward aiming to impale her but Guardian flew backwards and used her Photon-Blasts as shields to block them! They did the trick in shielding her from the attempt at impaling her but now the monster had quickly closed in and went on the attack!

Hiro was forced on the defensive as she got used to the monsters' change in fighting style. While she had its primary attacks mapped out, the claws were acting independently of its body, whipping around and slashing and stabbing at her freely while his main body snarled and snapped and slashed and clawed and punched and kicked while whipping its tail around.

For now, Guardian focused on using her powers to deflect and counter the claws while putting distance between herself and the creature. At the very least, dealing with the claws was easier when she only had to worry about those reaching her.

They continued this dance up and down the street back and forth until she finally found an opening and she used a light flash burst to make the monster back off from her. Then she sped back in front of him, deflected the claws, blasted him again and then she delivered a series of quick punishing punches into him and kicked him away before leaping up and blasting him in the face.

The monster skidded backwards but finally managed to tag her with its eye beams. The energy crackled around her suit and she was blasted backward. The monster capitalized on this to rush her. She was able to deflect the claws again but this time the monster crashed into her and to knock her down only for Guardian to fall back with it and kick up her feet and activate her thrusters, kicking the monster off of her and launching it away from her.

Guardian grasped her chestplate. It was smoking but she was alright. The suit could take way more damage than this. She turned around and raised her fists to take on the monster again.

(HIRO! Heads Up! A swift object is approaching!) ARIA notified her.

A blur of speed zig-zagged between the buildings and across the rooftops, swiftly crossing the city to approach the fight. Once it finally got close enough, the blur dropped down off of a rooftop and then sprung off of it, flying in between The Guardian and The Monster. An eerie light illuminated the air between the blur and the monster in a slashing motion. The light crossed the distance through the air in the form of a spinning disk of light and crashed into the monster, cutting into it and flinging it backward!



The monster cried out as it crashed down onto the ground. Its chest even more burned now and having a long cut into it. The new fighter stood up and sheathed her sword.

Guardian laughed as she took in the sight of her ally.



"That was one hell of an entrance, Soulblade." She greeted her friend.

Ava Phoenix, also known here as Soulblade, sheathed her sword and checked on Guardian. "Sorry I'm late. Are you okay?"

"Just a few scratches and some burns. I'm okay." She assured her.

"Cool. So...those orbs? Did he create them?"

"Yeah. They were torturing people until awhile ago. Chidori did something to them I think and now they've been de-activated. I don't really get it but we need to break them before they start warming up and torturing everyone again."

"Chidori? This bastard hurt her? Where is she now?"

That was when a soda can was flung out of the store and bonked the monster on the head. They turned their attention to the store to see Chidori and Izzy standing tall.

WHAT? WHAT? HOW? How uhre yu uhlive?" The monster demanded of Chidori. I broke eowr bode! I tore eowr flezh! I zpiled eowr blood! We uhre yu unhuhrmed? Wuht muhnner of creuhture uhre yu?"

"What can I say?" Chidori smirked. "I have some really good friends."

"You remember the plan right?"

"Right. Leave something left for me to smash when I get back, alright?"

"No promises." Izzy joked and took out a Magician's Top Hat and placed it on her head. Her clothes were instantly transformed into a female magician's outfit. Complete with a red bowtie, a white shirt, a buttoned up grey vest, an open long sleeved long black jacket, dark pantyhose, black high-heeled shoes, whie gloves and a domino mask over her eyes.



She teleported over to Hiro and Ava and smiled. "Time to start the show! Arcanatrix is on the scene!"


Arcanatrix: an amalgamation of

Arcanum: n. A mystery or deep secret.

Dominatrix: n. A woman who acts out the role of the dominating partner in a sadomasochistic relationship.

Guardian, Souledge and Arcanatrix stood together as the monster got back up and snarled at them. As they got ready for the net round, Chidori took off running as fast as she could towards the direction of the shrine.

Very much so! It fits her perfectly! Both in style and name!

Ohhh we are going to have some fun with Ava!

Chidori ran up the twisting and straightforward staircase from the front and the back and the left and the right. Ascending and descending them from above and below while the trees around her stretched and contorted and warped in every direction and none at all that all intersecting with themselves. The stairs rippled beneath her feet as the stairs contorted and folded in on themselves while the wind blew past her and up into the air and down on her but still she did not stop ascending the stairs. All the verticals were horizontal and the horizontals were vertical. Straight vertical angles connected parts at different horizontal distances. Pillars scattered everywhere that supported straight beams. Things far in the distance cut in front of things in the foreground. Slopes and steps went in endless circles that went in every direction. Wherever things could not touch, they did.

Undaunted by all of this madness Chidori pushed forward until she broke through the threshold and found herself standing in the shrine. She nodded to the stone animal guardians and then she passed through the torii and proceeded towards the stone wash basin and proceeded to wash her hands and rinse her mouth, using the dipper to pour water over her hands and then, using the dipper again, to pour some water into her cupped hand to put that water into her mouth and gargle it. After this, she proceeded to the main hall of worship and rang the bell that hangs from a rope in front of the offering box, bowed twice, clapped her hands twice, bowed again and threw some money into the wooden offering box while praying for the safety of her friends and for the world from the monsters that now threatened it.

"Ahhhh so you've finally come."

She turned around to be greeted by a grinning old woman wearing a pair of red hakama, a white kosode and some red hair ribbons.

"Oh? You must be...Ichika's Grandmother?"

"Ichika Yasu young lady. A pleasure to meet your acquittance, Miss Chidori."

"You know who I am?"

"Everyone in the city knows you, Miss Chidori. Your reputation precedes you."

"I know. That's why I want to make it right. That's why I've come here. To awaken my destiny."

"Very good." She turned towards a small shrine building. "It's there. It's waiting for you. I've heard it whispering your name. That power has been waiting for you your entire life. It's time to retrieve it."

"Thank you." She bowed and walked over to the small building, took a deep breath and pushed open the doors. The light and wind blew out of the building and wash over her. Chidori walked through all of it to find the large thick rock that had grown out of the ground but still didn't look like any kind of rock that could've naturally grown on Earth. There was something alien about its structure. Tt was some sort of organic living stone. It was pulsing. Breathing. Glowing. All while that distorted mumbling returned and echoed around her. "Heh. Kept you waiting didn't I? Sorry about that." She reached out and grasped the handle of the artifact stuck within the stone. There was an orange orb at the end of it with a golden crown around it. The handle of the artifact was a golden orange with white in the middle. From what she could see there were orange alien symbols in the middle of that traveling down the artifact. "I know. I kept you waiting. But I'm here now." She grabbed it with her other hand. "So what do you say? You ready to save the world?" The light erupted out of the stone and it broke apart and dissolved while she pulled it out and held it up in the air.

"Sis Puella Magica! ANTE UP!"

The light swirled around her as a magical sigil appeared beneath her. Her clothes vanished in the light that surrounded her body. Her already long hair became wild and sharp and spread out while stretching down to her feet. Her body came taller and thinner as blades grew upwards out of her elbows at an angle and more grew out of her ankles and curved upwards. Her eyes began to glow a brilliant green. Her mouth opened and her voice echoed outward, reverberating into empty space in an unintelligible song. Then the flames covered her body from below. The blades were pulled back into her body. A red bodysuit with orange sections and scales running down her arms and legs appeared on her body. Her hair retracted and an orangish-red helmet covered her face with the exception of her mouth. An orangish-red knight visor covered the section of her eyes. Orangish-red boots formed on her feet with laces wrapping around her legs topped off with small wings. A long orange skirt appeared on her body that reached down to her knees. An ornate belt appeared on top of the skirt. A red collar with orange lines appeared on her shirt to be tied together with an orange bow. Orange gauntlet gloves with red lines on them covered her arms. A diamond symbol appeared on the upper part of her bodysuit above the bow and a golden diamond appeared inside of it. Finally, her costume was topped off with a red cape coming out of her back. Her skin returned to normal and red lipstick appeared over her mouth. Her proportions returned to normal as the flames were pulled into her body and the light faded from around the shrine, returning the area to normal.

Chidori Chinatsu stepped back out of the shrine. Her cape and skirt blowing in the breeze and every aspect of her body radiating power. The wand could be seen more clearly now. There was a heart symbol after the alien symbols leading up to a large circle with four glowing red orbs in it all situated around a glowing sun. The wand was topped with a crown.





"My word...after all these years...to finally see it in person for myself. To see you in person! You're as amazing as I expected Miss Chidori!" Ichika Yasu complimented Chidori, her voice cracking as she started to tear up. "You're astonishing. Tell me? How do you feel?"

"I feel amazing. Downright amazing. Incredible." She lifted the wand up closer to her face and looked it over before lowering it and looking up into the sky. "Invincible. Thank you Miss Ichika. "This feels absolutely amazing." She walked towards the stairs and took a look over the city. "Right. Lets see what these powers can really do." Chidori hopped up and down a few times while loosening up her body. Then she stopped and leaned forward and rocketed down the stairs and suddenly appeared behind the girls and Kenshiro's car faster than they could react. It was like a reddish-orange blur just zipped by them too fast for them to react to! As the wind blew past them, Chidori straightened back up. "Oh man. That felt amazing!"

The girls turned around to see a tall woman in orange and red standing behind them. Her cape blowing in the breeze. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!" She laughed like a little girl while jumping fifteen feet in the air repeatedly without a care in the world! "THIS IS UNBELIVABLE! I FEEL SO INCREDIBLE! EVERY CELL IN MY BODY IS EXPLODING WITH POWER!" Indeed it felt like she had electricity running through her veins while on a constant adrenaline rush combined with the elation a little kid would feel on their first trip to a Theme Park! Chidori felt light as a feather and as strong as steel! It was like an explosion of power was rushing through her whole body! "YEEAAAH! WAHOOOO! I'M LOVING THIS!"

"Chidori? Chidori is that you?"

She stopped celebrating and turned around to see the girls and Kenshiro staring at her. She giggled. "Sorry about that. The power's kinda new. But man. I had no idea. This is just...insane! Completely insane! I had no idea! All this power was just sleeping inside me? HA! How about that? Girls, Kenny, thank you. You really are some amazing friends."

"It's real." Ichika stared in awe. "It's real. The power, the artifact, the magic, it's all real!"

"You betcha! Your grandmother is really cool too, Harime." She casually walked up to her and rubbed her head. "You've got a cool shrine too. Yoshino? Thanks for the backup this morning. Toki? Kanna? Ken? Thank you for taking care of them. Amaya? I like your eyepatch."

"Finally someone says it! Thank you!"

"I don't really get what's going on, but thanks all the same, Chidori. Go kick some butt."

"You really do have magic. Well isn't that something." Kanna laughed. "Alright. Go out there and get some payback on that monster. Give the Heroes our regards."

"From a delinquent to a Superhero. Talk about an upgrade." Kenshiro joked.

"It's all thanks to you guys and my friends." Chidori acknowledged. "Thank you. For everythign today." She turned her attention to the direction of the fight. "Okay. I'm going. You guys get to the shrine and stay there until we get the all clear!"

"Right. Be careful out there." Yoshino told her. "And go kick his damn head off."

She smiled and gave her a thumbs up. Chidori then took a runners stance and took off with another burst of super speed, zig-zagging the two mile distance between the shrine and the fight in five seconds by traveling at one thousand five hundred thirty five miles per hour and crashing down to the fight and then zipping over to the monster and smashing it down to the ground so hard it was sent skidding backward twenty-five feet with its head still smashed down into the street!

Chidori stood back up and flexed her right arm a few times while wiggling her fingers. "Heh." She turned around and looked at the Super-Trio. "Hey guys! What'd I miss?"

NIGHT!

"Heh. Well I don't have any complaints. Besides, you deserve this. Go out there and have your fun. Get you some payback." Souledge cheered her on.

"Go kick his ♋︎⬧︎⬧︎. Just know that we've got your back if things get dangerous out there." Arcanatrix assured her.

"By all means, beat him silly, but don't kill him. He has information on his bosses and the others of his kind we can use." Guardian advised tactically.

"Right. I understand. Thank you Guardian. Thank you Souledge. Thank you Arcanatrix." She saluted and zipped in front of the monster. "Hi Gruesome! Remember Me?!" She asked with a diabolically evil smile on her face. Rest assured, this smile had little to do with mirth or joy as normal people would feel. It had everything to do with showing the victim what was about to happen to them. It was a smile that read: "It's time to ♐︎◆︎♍︎🙵♓︎■︎♑︎ die." It was a sign that Chidori is going to seriously enjoy what is about to happen to her unfortunate victim very, very much.



The monster growled and stood tall. It had been burnt, slashed, blasted, cut, battered, bashed, smashed, crashed and beaten up and down the street on top of having its back claws cut off but it was still alive. It looked down at her. "Yow...de girl from before...yu're uhlive uhnd yu...huhve chuhenged. Yow huhve chuhenged. How? Why? Wuht muhnner of creuhture uhre yu?"

"Gifted speaker aren't you? To tell you the truth I don't quite get it myself, where this power came from, why it waited for me, why I have it, I don't understand any of it. But it is here and its mine. So right now, I Am A Magical Girl Warrior and I'm here to kick your teeth in! Come on Gruesome! Lets go! Round 2!"

The monster snarled. "Tre uhz yu might! yow wil not kil me! I wil never die! I wil never fuhil owr goddezz! Yow uhre nodieng to me! To uz! I WILL KILL YOU ALL!"

As he raised his arms to smash them down onto her she wreathed her right hand in flames, stepped forward and drove a blazing hot one-inch punch right into his stomach! The monster's jaw dropped as it was forced backward with flames dancing on his stomach from where she'd just punched him! Chidori didn't give him an inch though. She zipped up to him, leaped into the air, grabbed his head and drove her knee into it! There was another burst of flame on impact and the monster's head jerked back! Chidori still wasn't done with him though and she drove her left elbow down onto his head! The monster's eyes widened and his jaw dropped.

"Ohhh that felt good!" She dropped down to the ground and immediately sprung off of it again making a 90 degree angle with her left arm as she did and drove her burning fist into his chin.Following that flaming uppercut, Chidori dropped back down and went on the attack. She moved into a bobbing and weaving pattern while throwing rapid fire left and right punches while also mixing in three-quarter uppercuts and diagonal overhands. All of this on top of the powerful flurry of hooks being performed along with the weight shifting and full body rotation to the back and hips, allowing powerful hits to be landed on the target's blind spots. She even mixed in some chain punches and elbow strikes into the assault!

It was an inferno of blurring blazing fast flaming fists!




The monster could only violently thrash about from the force of the punches as Chiodri completely rocked him. Hitting him all over his body with her blazingly fast devastatingly powerful burning punches until she wreathed her arm in flames once more and drove it into the monster's body directly! Just like the first time she hit him with her burning punch the monster was sent flying backwards several blocks with its chest on fire and glowing hot! The monster screamed in pain and writhed on the ground holding its burning chest once more. Its entire body was burnt and scorched from the beating she just gave it but its cracked bones were glowing hot from the power she delivered into it! Unlike last time however, Chidori didn't flash fry her arm this time. She calmly walked up to it while the monster writhed on the ground and once she'd reached it she waited for the monster to get back up heaving and wheezing in pain.

She took a deep breath and slowly exhaled it out as the monster struggled to stand up. "It's over. Give up before this gets worse for you. Undo whatever the hell those spheres are and surrender. We'll lock you up somewhere nice and cozy."

"Hnnnnhhhgggh...hhurrgghhh...n-nev....never. Never. Never. NEVER!" It yelled up at her. "Do yu heuhr me? Never!"

"Don't be stupid. This fight is over. Be smart and give up. You can't win this. You aren't going to beat me and you can't beat the others. Lay back down and surrender."

"Fool. Mighte iz de Goddezz. Once doez not dizuhppoint deir God. I wil not fuhil her ever. I wil complete me mizziuh or die chreieng!"

"Who is this Goddess you keep babbling about anyway? Because I've got news for you pal. She can't be that loyal to you if she sent you here to invade an entire planet alone."

He coughed up greenish blue blood onto the ground and wiped his mouth. "Fool. It wowld tuhke too luhg to expluhin to yu uhnewuhe. I wil fight to de deuhd. TO DEE EEND!" He stood up and grabbed at her but Chidori grabbed his hands with her own. The two grappled briefly before she started forcing his hands down and then she suddenly forced his fingers back and crushed his hands! There were sickening crunches heard and then he screamed in pain and dropped to the ground!

"You can't fight anymore. This is over." Chidori turned to the others and waved them over and then turned back to the monster. "I don't know if we can really treat your wounds, maybe with magic, but rest assured you will be locked up tight monster. You can pray to your ♌︎♓︎⧫︎♍︎♒︎📫︎♋︎⬧︎⬧︎ 'Goddess' in a cell. We've got some questions for you."

"Never." He spat defiantly. "I Am Langishen Of The Abyssal Feonds. I Will Never Surrender Nor Will I Accept Defeat! EVERYTHING IS FOR THE GODDESS!" The monster bellowed in rage.

"Okay seriously? What are you even going to fight me with? Get it through your thick skull! You. Can't. WIN!" She shouted at him.

"EVERYTHING...FOR...THE GODDESS!" He bellowed again as the green lights started shining out of his body.

Chidori took a few cautious steps back never taking her eyes off of him. "What the ♐︎◆︎♍︎🙵?"

"What is he...wait! He wouldn't! CHIDORI RUN!" Souledge shouted.

(HIRO! The Monster's Energy Is Spiking Rapidly!) ARIA warned her.

"CHIDORI GET AWAY FROM HIM NOW!" Guardian screamed at her while flying towards her. "HE'S GONNA BLOW!"

Chidori looked around the area and quickly made a decision. "IZZY! ON ME!" She called back to her. Chidori then immediately grabbed her Wand, grabbed the monster and zipped into the air at super speed, flung him away as far as she could and then she aimed her wand at him. Izzy quickly casted a barrier spell to contain the monster's explosion while Chidori did the same. "Wand! BARRIER MAGIC!" The wand glowed and an energy beam shot out of it and surrounded Languishen while Izzy's barrier did the same. The green lights rapidly grew brighter and brighter until the monster was blown apart in an explosion of energy! Its body was completely obliterated in the blast but fortunately the two were able to contain it and the blast fizzled out into nothingness. Once they canceled the barriers the only thing left was the smoke which quickly blew away.

Chidori was so shocked by this display that she completely forgot about her landing until Guardian flew up and caught her. "It's okay! It's okay! I got you! I got you!"

"I-I...thanks. Thanks." She looked up at the Superhero she'd admired for years and reached up and gently rubbed her helmet. "Thank you. Thank you." She repeated not sure what else to say. She looked back up at the spot where the monster had destroyed itself. "I-I can't believe it...he just...blew himself up...what the hell? Why would he even do that?" (And what kind of monster is their Goddess that he would rather destroy himself rather than fail her?!)

Beneath them and around the city, the suffering spheres vanished and the captive victims floated back down to the ground. This immediately caught Chidori's attention. "MAMA!"

Arcanatrix flash stepped over to Kisaragi and caught her as she was falling down. Chidori then hopped down from Guardian's arms and sped over to her mom. "Mom! Mom are you okay?"

"Chidori wait!" Arcanatrix held up a hand. "She's breathing but she's going to be out for awhile. You however need to power down. You're emitting too much heat. You need to power down or de-transform before you can touch her."

"Huh? I...am?" She looked at her gloves and took a few steps back from her mother. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't realize..."

"She's right. You're passively emitting 600° Celsius of heat." Guardian informed her as she floated back down.* "It's not your fault. You're still new to your powers but you do need to be careful."



"Okay. Okay. Right. Alright. I think I've got it." She took a deep breath, moved her arms in a circle and then she placed her hands together, and exhaled. Her costume vanished in a flash of light and she was left in her street clothes once more as the air around her cooled back down. The wand was left in her belt. "Alright. Everything looks normal. Is this good?" She asked Guardian.

"The temperatures around you have returned to normal. You're good to go."

"Thanks everyone." She smiled and returned to her mother's side. "Kisaragi-Mama!" Chidori knelt down next to her. "Are you sure she's okay? She's going to be alright, right?"

Arcanatrix waved her hand over Kisaragi while Guardian analyzed her. "No signs of physical damage and the lingering magical energies are fading away from her."

"She should make a full physical recovery but there's likely going to be some emotional and psychological damage after what happened here today." Guardian informed her gently. "She's going to need some time in the hospital."

Chidori held her mother's hand while she hung her head. "I'm so sorry mama. I should've beaten him sooner." She whispered. "This is all my fault."

"It's not. It's not."

"It is!" Chidori insisted. "If I had listened to you back then...if I'd listened to you and looked into my powers and embraced them...this never would've happened. I would've crushed that freak." (Why? Why? Why do I keep letting this happen?!)

"Chidori, listen to me." Souledge knelt down next to her. "This is not your fault. None of it is. None of us could have predicted that monster would attack. This caught all of us off guard. We understand why you rejected the training initially. We know what that witch did to you. Your reaction was a good one. It was a very human reaction. We don't blame you for this and you shouldn't blame yourself either."

"It's okay Chidori." Guardian assured her with a gentle hand on her shoulder. "The monster did this. Not you. None of this was your fault. You fought to protect everyone even against impossible odds. You are a hero Chidori. Don't let the actions of some damn monster get you down."

"They're right. You're a good person Chidori. We don't blame you. Your mother won't blame you. Nobody blames you so don't you blame yourself. The monster and its dead. It's okay now. It is okay now." Izzy leaned over and embraced her as the other two comforted her.

"I...y-yeah. Yeah, y-you're right." She relaxed. "You're right. You're right." Chidori embraced her friends together.



When the police and the ambulances showed up to the scene, Chidori was off to the side gently cradling her mother whom Izzy had placed under a sleeping spell to help her rest while Guardian explained a summary of what happened to the police and the EMT's checked on everyone in the area with the formerly trapped civilians around the city getting the priority.

Chidori sat outside of the room while the doctors continued checking over her mom. She was still asleep but as far as Chidori could tell she was doing alright. Physically anyway. Chidori couldn't tell how she would be fairing mentally after a nightmare like that. Hell, Chidori herself wasn't exactly all sunshine and rainbows either now that the adrenaline rush and power high had died down. Now she was sitting outside of her mother's, her adoptive mother's , hospital room. Again. Only this time she had a magic wand in her hand and no talking cat to explain how to use it. Sure she knew how to transform and use at least some of her abilities, apparently instinctively, but there was a difference between knowing how to use your newfound magic powers and knowing how to use them. At least that was how Chidori saw it.

"Honestly, I'm not even sure how I made that barrier. I just panicked and made it happen."

She said quietly to herself while she looked over the wand.

"As for Izzy, well, I figured if she could do all of those other magic tricks, then making a magical barrier should be possible, right? Heh. I gambled and it payed off. There's no telling how powerful that explosion would've been if we hadn't contained it."

That just brought her mind back to what happened last night. (Goddess. He was ranting about a Goddess. With all of the destruction that thing caused, I can only imagine how powerful his boss must be. But then, if she's so powerful, why not come after us herself? Is there something holding her back? If she can send her goon why not come through?) She sighed and wiggled her wand. "Maaaan. Not knowing any of this ⬧︎♒︎♓︎⧫︎ is going to piss me off all over again."

"Chinatsu...Chinatsu..."

"Huh?" She stood up and looked around the hospital as all of the noises around her went dead silent and the hospital staff froze in their tracks. "Oh no. Nonono. Not this again. Don't you dare start with the cryptic ♌︎◆︎●︎●︎⬧︎♒︎♓︎⧫︎ again! I want some damn answers this time!"

"Chinatsu...hey, Ov'r h're mine own new friend!"

Chidori turned around and saw a small impish looking creature made of flames sitting on the windowsill happily kicking its feet. "Holla partn'r!" The Fire Imp saluted her. "I apologizeth f'r the late introduction! But thy pow'rs has't been asleep f'r a longeth timeth and I've been asleep f'r coequal longeth'r than yond." He greeted her. "Mine own earli'r attempteth at contacting thee wast contrary and i apologizeth f'r yond but anon thee've retriev'd thy wand we can starteth communicating prop'rly. I'm so joyous to finally meeteth thee! I cannot bid thee how longeth i've been waiting f'r thee mine own destin'd partn'r!"

"What the ♐︎◆︎♍︎🙵?"

"Oh. Well enow we can w'rk on yond. W'rry not. We'll receiveth hath used to each oth'r. Holla! Mine own nameth is Sigmis Arcanimus! Oh and w'rry not about anybody hearing our conv'rsation. This meeting is taking lodging within thy mind. In reality, thou art still relaxing in the chair."




"Arcanimus...Sigmis? What the hell are you?"

"Holla! Bethink of me as a spirit advis'r." The fire imp told her. "I am the spirit of thy wand Sigmis!"

"This?" Chidori asked as she raised the wand. "So, you were the one calling out to me?"

"Yond's c'rrect. I wast assign'd to waiteth until the destin'd day at which hour thy pow'rs wouldst awaken and we couldst uniteth as one to saveth thy w'rld."

"Okay now we're getting somewhere. Who assigned you? And what are those monsters?" Chidori asked him.

He grinned and hopped up and stood on his feet and spread his arms out. "Mine own mast'rs assign'd me! The W'rld Saints!"

"Am I supposed to know who those are?"

"Patience, patience, young one. I'll explain. F'r thee seeth..." Chidori was sent hurtling through space once again.

"This again?" Chidori asked the stars and planets and suns flew past her at warp speed so fast they were all just glowing blurs to her. She flew through the cosmos faster and faster until she suddenly began to slow down and her vision was filled with light. Chidori blinked a few times to clear her vision and she was slowly set back down. As Chidori regained her bearings she looked around at her new surroundings. It was beautiful. Light everywhere. Golden Clouds. Sparkling Shimmering Water. White Clouds On Either Side Of Her. The Most Beautiful Flora Stretching For Untold Miles. Bizarre, beautiful, alien animals flew through the air and darted around playing together in the fields.

"What? What is this place?"

"Welcometh, Chidori Chinatsu. Welcometh to the sacr'd golden realm: Zyaemiagath. Home of the W'rld Saints." Sigmis declared cheerfully as he appeared next to her on the pier. "F'r thee seeth, The W'rld Saints art guardian deities of the univ'rses. Those gents w'rk to maintaineth balanceth in the cosmos and ensureth yond ev'rything continues to runneth most carefully upon the hour without disturbance 'r disruption. If 't be true something tries to disrupt the balanceth of the cosmos, those gents taketh steps to c'rrect t by selecting Chosen Guardians to act to defend the m'rtal realm from threats yond wouldst seeketh to bringeth about the endeth of w'rlds. In thy case, thou art a magical girl. Those gents f'resaw thy extreme potential and those gents kneweth thee wouldst beest the c'rrect choice to defend thy w'rld."

"....Okaaay...uhh...sooo...you are putting a lot on me right now. First thing's first, where are they anyway?"

"Up there. Castle Zyaemiagath." He pointed into the sky towards a waterfall and Chidori followed it up to the sky where she saw a massive floating island with a gigantic castle sitting on it. It's size, it's scale, even from all the way down here it was mind bogglingly large!



Incidentally, the Divine Continent is 34,278,890 square miles." He informed her.

"Ehhhhh? B-b-but...th-that...that's....that's twice the size of Asia!" She realized. "Th-that would be...what...58.2% of Earth's Total Land Mass! How...how...how in the hell did I not see it?!"

"Oh, The Divine Continent doest not cast a shadow. T only provides lighteth and joy to the Sacr'd Realm."

"Holy ⬧︎♒︎♓︎⧫︎ this is a lot take in..." She confessed. Chidori needed a minute to collect herself before she nodded. "Okay, so, uh, what's up? What do they need me for? I mean, if they're so powerful, couldn't they just squash the monsters? And where do these monsters come from? Who is their Goddess?"

"Ah, H'r. Thee hath heard about H'r didst thee? Aye, I supposeth I doth oweth thee an explanation. Thee seeth, th're art many saints h're in the sacr'd realm yond gaze and obs'rve the multiv'rse. All of those folk art kind and wise and gentle and loving and valorous. Unf'rtunately, as much as I wouldst liketh to sayeth oth'rwise, th're wast one 'mongst those folk who is't hath grown cruel and petty and vindictive." The sky turned dark red and a massive storm kicked up.

The wind roared with the violence and power of an angry God, savage and unyielding, with raw power beyond and wind storm. Lightning came next and brilliant shocks of red light lit up the dark sky and strikign down repeatedly to the unsuspecting ground, striking at random and cracking it open. Then the earth began to move as if it were a wave on the sea and buildings that had stood for centuries crumbled into their own foundations as Chidori fell to her knees and desperately tried to stay standing. Magma erupted out of the ground and the rain became rocks, the sky filled with a choking smoky powder and the air became hotter than fire. It was all around her. Choking her lungs as this paradise world began to fall apart around her.

Black shapes filled the sky. Monsters. All kinds of monsters from the deepest darkest depths of human nightmares began filling the sky and rampaging around through paradise, ripping the world asunder.

"Wh...wha...what? What's...what's happening?"

This wast the opening shots of a war. The only war the sacr'd realm hast ev'r seen. The lady is the one who is't did start t all." He informed her.

A shadow fell over the Sacred Realm and the silhouette of a massive massive being the size of skyscrapers rose up in the middle of the swarm of monsters. Massive angelic looking wings grew out of its back and spread out through the sky while a glowing halo appeared behind it. Many more humanoid shapes appeared behind Chidori, each of them as tall as the angelic being. "Wha...who...what...huh? Wh-what's going on? Who's the angel?"

"Yond is thy foe. The lady who is't did betray h'r fellow saints and hath grown petty and cruel. Maggedon Apokalyptinen!"

The army of monsters rose up around the woman and she raised her hands up into the air. Bright lights gathered in her hands and she thrust them forward, releasing impossibly powerful energy blasts at the other Saints, aided by the swarm of monsters, and the Saints replied in kind. The blasts collided and everything was swallowed in the resulting explosion as Chidori screamed and covered herself.


When she finally opened her eyes again, she saw the Sacred Realm being put back together, repaired as if time itself was winding backward.

"Wh..wha...what...happened? Did...they win?"

"Aye. Those gents didst winneth. At most wondrous did cost. The sacr'd realm itself wast sc'rch'd and burn'd in the conflict but aft'r subduing h'r, those gents w're able to repaireth the dimension."

The scene changed again and Chidori again saw the silhouette of Maggedon this time bound by innumerable chains and held aloft in the air alongside the remaining monsters.

Aft'r h'r defeat, Maggedon wast did banish from the sacr'd realm and condemn'd to the abyss f'r h'r cruelty and treach'ry. Nev'r again to beest releas'd."

Maggedon was pulled into a swirling black abyss, writhing and struggling against her bindings the whole way. Once she was successfully pulled in, the monsters were pulled into en masse.

"Okaaaay...soooo...shouldn't that be it? Case closed?"

"F'r many eons, t wast. The war wast wonneth. Howev'r, the lady did turn out to beest stout'r than those gents bethought. While the maj'rity of h'r pow'r wast did suppose to has't been stripp'd of h'r, the lady did retain m're of t than those gents bethought. The lady gath'r'd enow pow'r to weaken the dimensional barri'rs of the abyss. Unf'rtunately, the barri'rs broken w're between thy w'rld and the abyss. Even but now, only the weak'r of their kind can cometh through one at a timeth. Howev'r, the m're mis'ry those gents did spread through the w'rld, the m're strength their kind shall gath'r, which means the m're strength the lady shall gath'r. If 't be true the lady is able to gath'r enow strength, the lady couldst maketh t through the barri'rs h'rself and cometh to thy w'rld p'rsonally."

"You want me to fight THAT?!" Chidori exclaimed in disbelief. "I-I_i'm...i"m down to fight...anyone or anything but...THAT? Doesn't this seem like a God Job?"

"W'rry not. So longeth as thou art able to stand ho the abyssal feonds, then maggedon wonneth't beest able to cometh backeth. Yond's what i am h're f'r. To traineth thee so thee can saveth the w'rld."

"You haven't answered my last question."

"Unf'rtunately, th're art c'rtain rules on how much those gents can act within the m'rtal plane. Sev'ral, actually. All design'd f'r thy protection. Yond is wherefore champions art chosen. To act to saveth the m'rtal w'rld wh're those gents cannot act."

"...So...lemme get this straight. The World Saints have phenomenal cosmic power but can't act in our world because of some unknown cosmic rules except to elect magical champions to fight their war. There is unknown amount of alien monsters targeting our world to spread misery and suffering to fuel themselves and recharge and wake up their Goddess so she can come back for round two with The World Saints and wreak havoc on our dimension. Do I have that right?"

"Thou art c'rrect."

The scene changed to take them away from The Sacred Realm. Instead Chidori found herself once again floating in space this time over the Earth. It was beautiful. So utterly beautiful. Globes didn't do it justice. It was so wonderfully amazing to see it from up here among the stars knowing there was Billions of people just like her going about their daily loves on this wonderfully amazing and beautiful sphere.

"Knowing what thee knoweth anon, doth thee still wisheth to fight?"

Chidori looked down at the Earth for a moment as she gathered her wits and her hands balled into fists. She looked back up at the fire imp and nodded. "Yeah. Lets Fight. These bastards brought the war to us. They attacked our world, our people, our families. I'm not letting them get away with that. So bring it on. I'll make these bastards wish they'd stayed in The Abyss."

"Huh? Hey, now that I think about it, what is this Abyss place anyway?"

"Ah, well to bid the sooth I has't nev'r been th're but I've at each moment been toldeth yond t is the dunnest void. A lodging devoid of lighteth. A w'rld wh're th're is nay chance of escapeth. A lodging of punishment."

"Sounds pleasant." She quipped. "I can understand why they'd want to escape from a place like that but that doesn't justify dragging Earth into their quarrel." Chidori scratched the back of her head while she mulled over this for a bit until she eventually spoke up again. "Alright, wake me back up. I have some thinking to do."

"Of course. Thee'll waketh right backeth in the hospital. Rest assured, I'll beest right h're whenev'r thee needeth to talketh. Hallo!" He waved and Chidori woke up in the hospital.

She blinked her eyes a few times and looked around the hallway. "Okay. So. This is all happening." She sank into the chair and looked up at the ceiling. "Okaaay, so, this is all happening..." (I guess that explains the monster making those spheres to torture me and all those people....and my mother.) She closed her eyes as she remembered what happened. She remembered all of this people screaming in unison as their pain escalated out of control. She felt it when she was in there with them. She felt that excruciating pain. She felt what it was doing to them. Direct neural stimulation of every pain receptor in a person, causing unfathomable torture and only escalating its effects from there. It was by far the worst agony that Chidori had ever felt in a life full of pain. Not just her own but what she was feeling from all of the people suffering with her. (But I did something about it didn't I? Something. I don't know how but somehow I tapped into them. I tapped into everyone's pain and transferred it to myself along with the constant escalating effects of the spheres. It was indescribable unfathomable anguish. I had no damn way of understanding or describing that pain but it was....horrific. Nightmarish. It went completely beyond any form of description. But...it pissed me off. I was screaming and crying and suffering and it pissed me off. I tapped into all of that pain and I used it to fuel my anger. Somehow. I don't know how I did that either.) She rubbed her head. (I guess...rage is the only way to describe it. Magic and unstoppable blind rage.) She sighed. (Sure it all worked out but man oh man I got seriously lucky there. Now I've got all of this weighing down on me. Hell man. I really need to talk to Izzy and the others later about this. Because holy hell I am going to need training if I'm going to pull this off.) "But. First thing's first, right mom?"

"Chinatsu!"

She snapped out of her thoughts and shot up to her feet as she heard her adoptive father's voice. "Daddy!"

Chidori sped down the hallway and embraced the suited man as he was running up to her.



Kisaragi Kiyomori had raced to the hospital from the office at Odinetworks the moment he heard about what happened and he clearly looked like he'd had a panic attack and was only just now calming down. He hugged his adoptive daughter breathing hard and kissing her forehead. "Are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay?"

"Yeah...yeah, I'm...I'm fine dad. I'm fine. It's alright. I'm okay. Kind of. Mom's the one who got hurt." She whispered to her adoptive dad while she hugged him. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

"It's okay baby girl. It's okay." He assured her.

She eventually calmed down and stepped back from Kiyomori. "I'm so relieved to see you dad. This has been a day."

"I know. I heard you were arrested but that's not a big deal right now. I'm just glad you're safe. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw you fighting that monster. What were you even thinking?"

Chidori's response was simple and to the point with a touch of seething anger behind it. "He hurt Mom."

"Ah. Yes that is as good a reason as any. I can't guarantee that I would've been able to remain calm after seeing that either." He confessed. "Still, you should've used your head this time. That thing was tearing you apart and...I-I...I don't know what I'd do if I lost you girls!" Kiyomori started tearing up as his exterior finally cracked.

Chidori hugged her dad again. "I'm sorry dad. I know. But, come on, can you really blame me for losing my temper this one time? And I love you too."

He sniffled while holding the adopted daughter he'd nearly lost today at the hands of that monster. When they heard about the fight at work he immediately had to pull it up, rules be damned and he almost had a panic attack watching his wife scream her lungs out while trapped inside of that ball or whatever it was while his adopted daughter was kicked around like a bloody soccer ball! First she was being beaten and torn apart then she got trapped and then she broke out, somehow, and then she lit her arm on fire and blew up the monster and then Guardian showed up and everything got even more crazy!

To be honest, Kiyomori wasn't sure how his heart took all of that. His mind was still swimming over the days events but at least he was holding her now and she was safe and sound and Jabami was in good health being looked over by professional doctors. They were going to be fine.

"You're right, you're right, I can't blame you but still...you know."

"Yeah, I know dad. I know."

He eventually let go of her and looked down at his daughter. "So, tell me, how did you survive that? Where did you run off too? And where did you get those powers from? That was you in the costume right?"

"Yeah, yeah, that was me." Chidori agreed. "Uhm, this is Sigmis." She held up the wand. "You remember that stone at Ichika Shrine? The stone that nobody could move or pull out or do anything to? This was what was in it and I pulled it out and that's how I got my powers or, well, how I got a handle on the powers that were already in me? I think? It's been a weird day. There's a lot more to explain but I think it would be best to wait until my friends get here so I can explain it to everyone at once. Because I have learned a whole lot today. I know what that monster was, dad. And there's more where it came from."

"What? More of them? How many more? Are they all as dangerous as that first one?" Kiyomori asked her.

"A lot more." Chidori informed him. "A lot more and there's a whole lot of different versions of the monsters and they have a scary boss and..." She help up her wand. "I've been chosen to fight them."

"Chosen? Ch-ch-chosen? By who?"

"Uhhh as far as I understand a bunch of Cosmic Alien Gods who are living it up in a massive golden castle on their own flying continent in another dimension."

"...What?"

"Yeah that was my reaction too. I'll explain further when the others get here."

"Wha? Why not explain it to me now?" He asked in confusion.

"Well, I mean, you have to admit that it'll be easier if I only have to explain it once." Chidori reasoned.

"Alright that's fair. I think that-"

"Excuse me, Mister Kiriyama? Your wife is awake sir."

"Mom!" She grinned and sped past the nurse and into the room. From their perspective Chidori was there one second, then there was a gust of wind and the door flew open!

"Uhm? Huh? Wha? Where did she go?"

"TO see her mother I assume."

"Has your daughter always been that fast? Is she a speedster?"

"To be honest I'm not sure what her powers are right now. Thank you for all your help though all the same." He complimented the nurse. "You're doing an amazing job. Thank you."

He patted the nurse on the shoulder and hurried to his wife's side.


"Chinatsu? Chinatsu? Where am I?" Her mother asked. "I...had the weirdest dream. There was a monster attacking the city and we were running and then something happened...what happened Chinatsu? Why am I in the hospital?"

"It's okay mom. It's okay now. It's okay now." Chinatsu assured her adoptive mother as she held her close. "It's gone. The monster's gone. It went boom and it was reduced to ashes. It's all going to be okay."

"I already told you. There is no escape. Only suffering." The monster readied another sphere and raised its hand up, took aim and flung it at them. Kisaragi Jabami didn't even hesitate to shove her daughter out of the way as hard as she could.

"I LOVE YOU!" She screamed out desperately before the sphere swallowed her up as well. For a moment there was only pitch black darkness until it lit up with the green lightning. The inside of the sphere was illuminated to show Chidori the image of her beloved adopted mother screaming at the top of her lungs in pain while her body spasmed from the agony lightning.

"MOOOOOOOMMMMMM!" Chidori shrieked.

"MOOOOM! MOOOM! MOM!" Chidori continued to scream for her adopted mother as she slammed her arms against the sphere to no avail. It was too hard. No matter how hard she struck the sphere she couldn't so much as scratch it but she continued to strike it in desperation as she desperately screamed for her mother.

Jabami's eyes opened back up and she found herself floating in the middle of darkness. Darkness suffocating her body like a damp, musty, thick blanket, clinging to every inch of her badly battered bleeding body. It was closing in on her from all sides and she couldn't see a thing! It was the strange sensation you can only get when you're floating in zero gravity in pitch black darkness. The kind of feeling an astronaut would get if they were out there in space all alone with no light or anything else out there with them.

That was when the light shined around her and the green electricity began coursing through her body. It was more than just a slight tingle that ran underneath his skin. No, it was as though someone had attached a live wire to every inch of her body as her and her body began violently convulsing as the violent electrical current pulsed through her turning her pain receptors on overdrive.

Jabami screamed as the overwhelming indescribable pain flared up inside her.

And Screamed.

And Screamed.

And Screamed.



Kisaragi Jabami gasped and covered as the memories of the afternoon's events flooded back into her and she began shaking and trembling. She felt the panic begin like a cluster of spark plugs in her abdomen. Tension grew in her face and limbs, her mind replaying the attack and her subsequent torture inside of the darkness. Her breathing became more rapid, more shallow, her heart racing faster and faster. In seconds she was curled tight in her bed, her only movement the trembling of her limbs and salty tears darkening her sleeves.

"Mom! Mom! It's okay now! It's alright. I'm here for you."

"Jabami! Jabami it's okay. I'm here for you now. I'm here. It's okay now. You're alright. It's okay now."

Their arms were around her once more and Jabami felt the tension slowly leave her body as she embraced her husband and adopted daughter.

The family held each other for what seemed like forever before they finally parted.

"Okay, so, uh, backup a bit. What happened to the monster?"

"Oh. It blew itself up. We beat the daylights out of it and tried to interrogate it so we could find out more but then it decided to blow itself up instead. But it's all good because my magic wand explained things to me."

"Hold on now, it blew itself up? What?" She asked. "Was anybody hurt?"

"Not from the explosion, no. I threw him into the air and sealed him in with a barrier with my magic wand." Chidori explained. "This. His name is Sigmis Arcanimus. Uhm, I can explain further when the others get here."

"So you have a magic wand now and you named it Sigmis Arcanimus?"

Yes I have a magic wand but I didn't name it per say. He has his own name because he's the spirit of the wand."

"I...see."

"Trust me mom, this whole thing is weird as hell for me too. So anyway, how are you doing?"

"All things considered? I suppose I am doing alright. Relatively speaking."

"Excellent." She hugged her mother. "I'm so happy to hear that."

"We both are. But, Chinatsu, are you sure this is a good idea? That was a giant monster out there and you said there were more of them! Do you seriously expect to fight them?" Her father asked her.

"Wait, what?"

"Oh yeah, that. It's a long story, please be patient, but that thing came from another dimension, what I believe to be another universe in fact, and there are of them. It's our job, my job, to stop them." Chidori informed her parents.

"A-absolutely not! You saw all of the destruction that monster caused on its own!" Jabami insisted. "I cannot, will not, in good conscience, allow my little girl to go around fighting monsters! I can barely accept the fights you already get into and now you expect me to just accept you fighting alien space monsters?"

"...Would you get angry if I said yes?"

"Absolutely not! That is a job for Guardian and The Police and the JSSDF! Not my little girl!"

Chidori sighed. "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry, but I have to do this."

"Why? Because some magic talking wand asked you to do so?" Kiriyama asked her.

"Dad, you saw the destruction that thing caused on TV. Mom, you experienced it. You were out there with me. You experienced the suffering sphere with me. That was just the first monster. There's no telling how many more of them there could be or how strong they are or what they can do...but we all know how much destruction just how one of them can cause. I've also seen their Master. I've seen the face of our enemy and let me tell you both something: She is fear. I've never seen anything that powerful in my life. The monster we defeated was a gnat compared to her. The goal of these monsters is to awaken their Master and that is a game over for the world. I've been chosen to help fight these things and prevent that. So that's what I'm going to do. I am going to fight these monsters alongside my friends and we're going to save the world." She sighed. "I know how you feel and I understand how you feel but I know you understand how dangerous just one of those things was. Now imagine an army of them. An entire dimension of them. A countless amount of them. All backed up by something bigger and stronger than anything in the world. I have to do this. You can call it crazy, call me crazy, protest all you want, and I'm sorry but this is reality. I have to fight."

She looked at the wand in her hand and held it up. "Besides, it's not like I'm alone. I've just gotten started and I've already got one hell of a team backing me up and if Magical Girl Shows are any indication? I've probably got an even bigger team coming."

She lowered the wand. "I know it seems scary and I understand how you feel, believe me, but we can win. We are going to win. No matter what they try to throw at us."

Back Downstairs!

Takako Yoshino, Wakamura Toki, Ichika Harime and Amaya Amaterasu finally arrived at the hospital and advanced towards the front desk only to be met with a line of people still being sorted out. "Ohhhhh! Poopy!" Takako groaned. "I knew this was going to happen but come on. I just want to check in on her. She needs her friends right now." She looked to the side. "Maybe I could..."

Wakamura Toki held her shoulder. "There's been enough chaos tonight you are not adding to it. We will stand in line, get signed in, and then we can visit her. She and her parents have had a long night okay? Especially her adoptive mother. We should be mindful of that and avoid potentially overwhelming them."

"Yeah, you're right. We'll wait. That'll be good. We'll be able to calm down." She sighed and rubbed her head. "Sorry. It's been a long day."

"It's been hard for all of us. But the monster is gone now. We can take a breather now. We'll see her when we're ready."

"Hard to believe she has Super Powers now though." Amaya added as she spoke up. "I always knew she was an incredible fighter but now she's a Superhero too? This is awesome!"

"To think, she'd be the one who pulled the Sword From The Stone." Ichika giggled. "I always figured it would be Phoenix honestly."

"Did she ever try?" Takako asked.

"Once or twice but she didn't put her all into it. She told me that she wasn't the one it was waiting for. I didn't quite get it at the time, but now I understand that Kami was waiting for this exact moment in time for his Chosen One to pick up her blade."

"Wooow. Am I rubbing off on you, Harime?" Amaya teased.

"Maybe. Don't get me wrong, I believe in tolerance, understanding and resolving conflict peacefully, but I also fully believe in vanquishing evil whenever it rears its ugly head and tonight? We were attacked by a being of pure evil."

"Where the hell did it come from though?" Toki asked as she crossed her arms. "And...how many others are there?"

"If Media and History have taught us anything, it's there is going to be a lot more where that guy came from." Phoenix informed them as she walked into the hospital flanked by Hiro and Izzy.

"Hey guys, welcome to the line!" Takako greeted.

"Now that the party guests are all here we can get this party moving." Amaya complimented.

"We'll wait in line like everyone else." Toki informed her friends. "How's the situation out there?"

"The Superheroes have everything in order." Hiro replied. "They repaired the city streets and property. The civilians are being treated now. Once they've been fixed up it'll be like the attack never happened." (I wish...Yeah they could be healed physically but an attack like this was going to leave those people traumatized for life. Everyone involved in or witnessing it is going to need help. Not to mention whatever chaos ensues internationally. This was going to be a big problem. One at a time. Let the Gov. figure out the big international stuff. We just have to do what we can.)

"It's a good thing they showed up when they did. This could've been much worse.' Ichika chimed in.

"But why the spheres?" Toki asked. "I can't wrap my head around that. At first glance it would appear to be simple sadism. But I feel like there is more to it than that. It was capturing people but it didn't take them anywhere. It didn't do anything with the. It trapped people in the spheres and moved on...then there's the fight with Chidori herself. All respect to her as a fighter but that thing could've killed her anytime it wanted. Instead it drew the fight out. Again, it seems to be simple sadism and cruelty, and I have no doubt that played a part, but it feels like there is something larger at play here."

"That's an Inspector's daughter for you." Izzy responded. "There is definitely something larger at play here. Apparently that thing was sent here from another dimension by some kind of Goddess but that's all we know. It could be that this was just the first stage of an invasion and they were testing the waters but I don't know why they would only send one guy."

"Dimensional Barriers and or a Magic Seal." Amaya offered. "It came from another dimension right? So there's a good chance the monster and his monster buddies are all locked up inside that dimension and they were only able to weaken the dimensional barriers just enough to send one guy through for now and he's trying to chaos and misery to tear down said barriers so they can invade."

The rest of the group just looked at her. "That...is...oddly plausible." Phoenix agreed. "How'd you come up with that?"

"Mahou Sentai Magiranger and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. Infershia and the Gedoushu's plans basically revolve around breaking magical seals and causing chaos on Earth to break the seals more so they can be free and awaken their leaders and cause Hell on Earth."

"Okay then...so, uh, should we proceed forward with that as the rationale behind the new bad guys until further notice?" Hiro asked.

"Makes sense to me." Takako agreed.

The rest chimed in their agreements. Having something resembling an idea of what the bad guys were doing was better than not having any ideas at all.

"But if that's the case we should be on our guard. That thing trapped a lot of people in those spheres before it was destroyed and we have no way to tell how much pain they need to inflict before they fill up their...I don't know...meter? I guess? Yeah, their meter. That thing caused a lot of pain before it was taken out. If Amaya's Sentai Theory is correct then there would definitely be more coming and we can logically assume that they won't all have the same powers. Unfortunately we have no way of telling what's coming for us soooo we'll just have to take them as they come I guess."

"That sounds about right. But don't worry about it. We'll talk with Chidori first and then come up with a plan." Hiro said to her and the group.

"Hmmm...do you think the Paladin Organization should be contacted?" Ichika asked. "If the theory is correct, the Superheroes are going to need all the help they can get against them."

"That is a definite possibility."


The crew hung out in the line for awhile until they were able to get to the front desk and get signed in. Afterword they went upstairs and found their way to the Kiriyama's room.

"Knock knock!"

"Guys!" She stood up and embraced Takako as she ran into the room followed by a group hug with the others. "I'm so glad you made it. This...this has been a very long day."

"For everyone. But we're just glad you're okay." Hiro informed her.

"I wouldn't be here without Guardian. He saved my a...butt out there."

"It's okay Chidori. All things considered? I'll let you have the one." Jabami told her with a laugh.

"Oh good. But I'm going to save it." She high fived Ava as her friends walked into the hospital room and shut the door behind them. Chidori returned to her chair. "Good. You're all here. Get comfortable everyone. It's storytime."

"Storytime?" Toki questioned. "Did you find something out?"

"Yeah." Chidori nodded. "I've seen the face of our enemy. I know what we're up against. You're going to want to be comfortable for this."

As the group settled into the room, Chidori took a deep breath, slowly blew it out and then she told them everything she'd learned from Sigmis about The World Saints and the Abyssal Feonds and The Fallen Goddess.

"Okaaaaay...soooo...a Goddess. The enemy...is a Goddess." Hiro repeated to herself. "Even if she's a fallen Goddess...that's a bit of a mind screw." (ARIA? Do you have any files on this?)

(Sorry Hiro, I'm Blank. I have no files on these guys or their Goddess and there aren't any ties to Earth mythology as far as I know.)

(So there aren't any ties to our mythology and legends huh? Well that's a pain.)

"We're going up against the forces of a Goddess." Ava rubbed the back of her neck. "That's going to be a problem. So does that make that...thing the heroes fought in the streets....a demigod demon or something?"

"Kinda." Chidori shrugged.

"World Saints? Abyssal Feonds? The Abyss? This...Maggedon woman...I've never heard of any of it." Izzy confessed. "I'm going to have to research this now."

"S-so...does this mean my Sentai Theory was technically correct?" Amaya asked.

"Sentai Theory?" Chidori questioned her.

"Shinkenger and Magiranger. The villains are trying to cause misery and suffering and chaos to weaken a magic seal to let in more of them and overrun the Earth."

"That's strangely accurate actually."

"So that's what the monster was doing." Toki realized. "Please pardon my language here but holy ⬧︎♒︎♓︎⧫︎! H-how many people did that thing attack? How many people were suffering in those orbs or whatever they were before it was destroyed?"

"Far too many. That thing rampaged from the park into the city, capturing people in the spheres along the way." Ichika gulped. "Fortunately...as nothing too insane has happened since then we can assume however many people it captured it wasn't enough to cause any real changes." She placed her thumb in her mouth and lightly bit down on her fingernail as she pondered this. "I-I don't know about magic but this seal must be extremely strong if it's contained this Goddess and her children for so long. That must mean they'll need a lot of pain."

"That makes sense." Amaya crossed her legs. "The monsters never fully release the seal until the final episode anyway."

"Amaya...you do realize this is for real right?" Toki asked her in a harsh tone.

"I know." She replied quietly. "It's been a long and scary day. I'm coping."

Ichika rubbed her best friend's back. "It's okay. We understand. It's been scary for all of us today."

Amaya shifted her seat closer to her bestie and rested her head on her shoulder.

Toki sighed and rubbed her face. "I'm sorry. I should not have snapped at you like that."

She gave a thumbs up.

"Okay, so, Chidori?" Toki piped up. "Are you really supposed to fight these things?"

"It seems that way." She held up the wand. "Sigmis says I'm their Chosen Champion after all."

"The Chosen Champion Chidori Chinatsu. I like it." Takako complimented her.

"C.C.C.C. C4. I like that. I like that a lot."

"Uhm, okay, so...honey, darling, Chinatsu, you know we love you, but I don't think I can in good consciousness condone you fighting an alien Goddess and her army."

"Believe me mother, I understand but I have to do this. Leaving aside the destiny angle, these things are going to keep coming after us whether I'm a Magical Girl or not. If I have the tools to fight back and protect innocent people and the people I love, then I'm going to use them."

"Chidori, honey, this is different than those guys you've fought in the street or those maniacs! These are super powered monsters that for all we know might be borderline or actual DemiGods!" Her father insisted.

"Yeah. And I'm going to send every last one of them crying back to their Goddess."

"I must say Chinatsu, you have nearly everything you need. You have the heart, the will, the drive, the potential, and believe you are sitting on a munitions factory worth of potential, and a surprising amount of talent for someone completely untrained, but as you've no doubt learned in your martial arts training, talent without training is nothing. All that power won't do you any good if you don't know how to use it properly. We can teach you that. Help you get an even better handle on your powers and how to use them. I'm sure Guardian will be happy to help."

"Wait, I thought Guardian was a Tech Hero?" Takako pointed out.

"Ohhhh he is. But one should not underestimate the benefits of Super Sparring." Hiro replied.

Chidori set her wand down and rubbed her hands together gleefully with a big wide smile on her face. "When do we start?" She asked as orangish-red electricity like sparks crackled around her hands. "Wah!" She parted her hands and the sparks faded.

"Wow." Her mom noted. "So that's magic."

"Oh that's just the tip of the iceberg Miss Kiriyama." Izzy assured her. "Rest assured Chinatsu, we can start your training tomorrow. You're going to need a lot of rest tonight."

"Good idea. Maybe in the early afternoon? Or after school?" Chidori suggested. "I'm going to need to talk to my Bio-Mom about all of this too after all." She crossed her arms and legs. "And of course, I'll need to figure out a way to repay Guardian."


"Oh don't worry. I'm sure he knows." Hiro assured her gently. "You won't have to repay a thing."

"Yeah but I want too." She replied.

"Alright honey. I understand how you feel. It has been a very long day for everyone. I think it might be best if you stay over at a friend's house tonight." Jabami advised her daughter.

"What? But what about you, mom? You need me here!"

"It's okay dear. It's okay. We'll be alright here. I just need to rest." Her mother reached out and held her hand. "We'll be okay but you need to rest too dear. If anything happens we'll call you. We'll keep in touch and you can come see us again first thing in the morning. We'll be home again before you know it."

There was a moment of silence before Chidori gave in. "Alright. Okay. I'll let you two sleep here. But just keep watch okay? If anything seems weird or scary, call me right away."

"We will dear. Don't worry."

She embraced her adoptive parents and then she stepped back and turned to her roomful of friends. "Okay! So....who am I staying with?" She laughed.

Toki did a headcount. "Well there is certainly a lot of us." She paused to consider the situation. "Alright. Hiro's house is about as secure as my own while having the benefit of being larger so we will have an easier time fitting everyone inside. If that's okay with you of course."

"Sure! The more the merrier. Provided you call your parents and okay it with them first. You'll also have to stop by your houses anyway to grab toothbrushes, clothes and other personals."

"Ava and I can teleport so if you get the go-ahead we can help you gather everything you need for the sleepover." Izzy offered.

"Oh hey can I do that?" Chidori asked.

"With training." Izzy and Ava replied simultaneously.

"Coool."

(ARIA? Take a note: Look into teleportation tech. I don't want to feel left out.)

"Great! I'll call my mom and dad straight away!" Amaya stepped out of the room.

Toki looked at her own phone. "Oh. Wonderful. My mom is already here. I will be right back. Please excuse me." She bowed and exited the room.

"Then I shall call my grandmother as well. Please excuse me." Ichika bowed her head and exited the hospital room.

"Ahhh! This is going to be so much fun!" Toki hugged Chidori and she laughed and patted her on the back. "I'll call my mom and be right back!" She hurried out of the room.

"Ahhh." She sighed happily. "How about you, Hiro? Are you going to call your brother and sister and let them know what's going down?"

"I already called and let them know we're all safe on the way here but you're right. They should know about a potential sleepover just in case everyone agrees. One second please." Hiro stood up and bowed to her friends and Chidori's adoptive parents and stepped out of the room.

"Well you know we're in."

"Thanks Ava."

"Soooo....A God, huh?"

"Goddess but yeah." Chidori drummed her fingers on her pants legs. "Any advice?"

"Well first of all, can we see Sigmis?"

"Sigmis? Sure." Chidori held up her wand. "Hey hothead! You heard her. My magic friends want to meet you. Come on out!"

A flame jumped out of the wand's head that only Chidori, Ava and Izzy could see. It landed on Chidori's shoulder and turned into a small little imp made of fire. It kicked its feet and waved to the two magic users.

"Holla! Mine own nameth is Sigmis Arcanimus!" The Fire Imp greeted them.

The Fire Imp sniffed the air. "Huh...Ok little guy, come on out! No use going stealth as I can sense you lot"

A scoff came and the white ferret appeared on the top of the bookshelf. It's crimson eyes glared daggers' at the IMP.



"Ah there you are old fellow! Long time no see eh" The Fire Imp smiled while placing his hands on his hips in a heroic pose(for some strange reason I picture him in Ninjor's voice)

'I thought I smelt a wet rat. Amazed to see you alive after all these centuries'

'Go **** yourself right back Lava Troll'

Looking up Ama made a face that she'd usually make whenever she sees something unbelievably Kwaii. "EEEEEEEEEE!!!" Squeed Ama, which caused everyone(sans Ava) to wince.

"Come here!" She outstretched her hands upward, "Come on little guy! There's nothing to be afraid of"

'Fear nothing! I was only scouting a potential prospect before the Dwarf interrupted my surveillance. Speaking of...' It glanced at Hiro and sniffed the air. 'Ahh. The same scent as that Guardian during the monster attack' It got up to it's feet and crouched like it was about to leap from the bookshelf. It leaped and glided from the bookshelf and towards Hiro. "Woah!" With one arm Hiro hugged the ferret while it lays comfortably on Hiro's chest.

"Full of surprises aren't you. Just watch the claws there, little guy" Hiro pets the creature with her other hand as the creature purrs affectionately.

"...Ferrets can purr? I thought they chirped?" Chidori questioned. "Wait you two know each other?" Chidori asked Sigmis.

"Ours is a longeth and complicat'd tale involving timeth and dimensions, Chinatsu. To summarizeth t, our f'rret fr'end and I wend backeth many centuries bef're we cameth to this earth. That gent did accept a contracteth with the fair s'rc'ress while I did sleep within the wand while awaiting our fat'd meeting. Coequal a just causeth needeth pow'r to winneth."

'Wow you are behind the times, hot head.' The ferret chided him.

'I've been asleep f'r centuries and I am translating the golden tongue of the w'rld saints to Japanese bas'd on the knowledge of a foul mouth'd teenage chosen one. What doth thee wanteth?'

"By the way...how can they see you now?" Chidori asked.

"Oh yond's easy. In our first int'raction I wast communicating with thee in thy mind while I am projecting myself in a visible f'rm from the wand anon." Sigmis explained before hopping off of her shoulder and landing on Amaya's hands.

"Woah! HE's so cute Chidori! He's not hot either! Oh! Oh! Arcanus, are you able to choose whether or not you're hot when you're projecting yourself?"

"Yond's right fair maiden. I can ignite if 't be true I wisheth but mine own charm is bett'r hath spent being channel'd by the chosen one. Liketh mine own cousin ov'r th're, I am m'rely taking on a f'rm thee wouldst beest comf'rtable with."

Hiro looked down at the Ferret who happily chirped. Hiro shrugged and continued petting him. "So wait...if you two know each other...then could he give us some more insight into the Goddess?"

"Hey yeah!" Chidori grinned. "Anything you know that can help us little guy? What's your name anyway?"



Meanwhile!

Toki walked the halls of the hospital while rubbing her crossed arms. There were doctors and medical staff bustling in and out of the rooms while the civilians were visiting and comforting each other and her mind was swimming as she tried to process everything she'd heard and learned today. Magic? Aliens? Demons? Gods? Interdimensional travel? Chosen Ones? The enemy was a Goddess? All of this on top of the night's events were just a little much for her. So she stepped out to meet with her mother and try to clear her head of all this madness.

"Oh there you are Toki!" Wakamura Maki greeted her daughter.

"MAMA!" She exclaimed and ran up and hugged her mother. "This is perfect timing, mama. It really is. I...have so much to tell you."

"My name?" The Ferret Familiar asked. "I am Amatsumikaboshi. You may refer to me as Amatsu."

That's Ama-tsu-mika-boshi! (Dread Star Of Heaven, August Star of Heaven, Scarecrow Male Of Heaven, Brilliant Male, Divine Lord Of Middle Heavens.)

In Japanese mythology, Ama-tsu-mika-boshi also called Ame-no-kagase-o was originally a malevolent Shinto god. Under Chinese Buddhist influence, the god was identified with Myōken either as the pole star or Venus, before being combined with the god of all stars, Ama-no-mi-naka-nushi.

"Ama-ts-mika-boshi?" Amaya asked. "Uhhh aren't you a God of Evil?"

"Bzzzzt!" Ichika spoke up. "Shinto has no “Satan,” and Amatsu-Mikaboshi is neither a “god” nor “evil”; instead, he is a primordial force that existed before this world was formed. At some point, he may have been the only force in the world: Amatsu-Mikaboshi may be the primordial great void. He ruled the universe, if only because nothing else existed. Somehow during creation of the modern universe, his power was broken but never completely disappeared. Instead, his aura or residue remains. An alternative myth suggests that Amatsu-Mikaboshi was one of the imperfect children discarded by Izanami and Izanagi. Either way, Amatsu-Mikaboshi is in the world but not of the world. He has no clear, official part or function to play. He doesn’t even have a corporal form in which to manifest. He is a bitter, coldly angry, disenfranchised presence. He has no shrines and is not of much relevance to the average person (although his name appears in many comic books and role-playing games, where he is usually cast as a villain). He is an esoteric, abstract presence in the universe rather than a spirit with whom one can communicate directly. He may be the spirit of the most distant heavens: the celestial void or abyss." She explained to the group.

"After all, Shinto is a spiritual system that values harmony. Amatsu-Mikaboshi is associated with lingering energies and emotions, especially excessive ones that destroy harmony or create imbalance in the world (as, in essence, he does). He doesn’t necessarily share or incite these emotions: instead intense, uncontrolled emotions are perceived as sharing his essence. They are magnetically attracted to Amatsu-Mikaboshi, as he is to them, because they are made of the same stuff and potentially have the same effect: destructive disharmony. Thus excessive anger, envy, even love, which potentially leads to unhealthy obsessions, is perceived as belonging to Amatsu-Mikaboshi and expressing his essence. In later Buddhist perspective, this excess emotion was perceived as “sin”; hence Amatsu-Mikaboshi developed a reputation as Master of Sinners. He may or may not be associated with Yomi, a Shinto death realm. One theory suggests that Amatsu-Mikaboshi, a single, all-encompassing power, was broken and dispersed by the introduction of yin and yang forces into the universe (in Japanese: in and yo). Onmyoji (practitioners of a Japanese shamanic magical tradition) are masters of yin-yang and have sought to harness the power of Amatsu-Mikaboshi, possibly giving him a corporal form. In this form, he may be known as Ama-no-Kagaseo, the Brilliant Male."

The rest of the group applauded Ichika Harime while she basked in the praise.

Amatsu laughed. "Kid knows her stuff. I could go in depth about the greater cosmology but to save time, I'll just say she's on the right track."

"More or less." Sigmis agreed.

"Wait how does that work?" Chidori asked.

"Loooooong story." Sigmis and Amatsu replied.

"Coooool. Sorry about calling you an evil god!"

"Quite alright, Miss Chunii."

"You know though, it's sort of surprising you're not my familiar. Ama-Ama and Ama? Our names are perfectly matched!"

"Oh doth not w'rry fair one. At which hour thee doth findeth thy familiar 'twill beest someone p'rfectly suit'd to thy p'rsonality." Sigmis assured Amaya.

"YAY!"

"Okay then, back to business, how do we kill a Goddess?" Chidori asked Amatsu.

"Yeeaaaah about that. See, the thing here is, Maggedon awakening and crossing the barriers into this dimension is a loss for everyone here. It would be like trying to fight a Supercharged Godzilla. You kids aren't ready for her. At all. Hiro, Avalon, Izzy, you three are experienced and talented and incredibly powerful for your ages, and Chidori, you are a volcano of power, but she's on another level." Amatsu explained to the team in a dead serious tone before lightening up. "So instead of worrying about her, you should instead focus on fending off her forces to prevent them from causing misery which will provide energy and nourishment to the rest of their kind."

"Dammit, now I want to fight her even more." Chidori pouted.

(Was she even listening to me?) Amatsu asked Sigmis via telepathy.

(I've been in her head. Trust me, she heard everything.) Sigmis assured him. (You probably should've worded that better.)

Izzy giggled while Hiro flashed a subtle thumbs up to Chidori.




Toki ducked into a hallway with her mother and leaned against a wall while rubbing her shoulders. "Okay, so, mother...I consider myself a woman of reasoning and logic. Everything is simple, everything is logical, everything makes sense. Rules denote structure. Structure denotes stability. That is the ruling philosophy that guides my life. Everything that has happened, even the most twisted things, have all made sense and followed the rules of logic. Even Guardian's Superhero Adventures made perfect sense considering the capabilities of modern technology and the existence of superhumans. I am well aware of the existence of supernatural beings as well and they make sense and follow a line of rules. However. Having said that." Toki sighed. "Today has been...strange and I am having trouble adjusting to recent revelations."

"My dear girl, whatever is the matter?" Maki asked her daughter.

"Well...let me start at the Shrine."

Then Toki let the bomb drop. Explaining everything they'd seen today and learned today about the alien monsters, about Chidori, about magic, and about the Goddess that was behind the invasion.

"You know something Chi-Bird. You remind me of a friend of mine back home. Like you he'd face down a Cosmic Horror if he had to" Izzy laughed. Reflecting of the time when David had to do just that. Of course that was when The One That Lurks Within The Woods had enthralled his friend Sally. He even ventured into The Forrest Beyond The Dog Park in an attempt to rescue her. After making a deal with Monitor Head. That thrilling story is saved for another time. Lets just say that was the kids rite of passage and they were never the same after that.

"Heh, even President Airhead wouldn't dare venture in that place. That was the one time I respected the Sapling." Amatsu smiled at that memory.
